I'ts all fairly whimsical, and disguises the extreme nature of the ride.

At the midpoint of the ride the blue side heads around an outward banked turn and drops down to the 2nd lift hill to begin it's lap on the green side. The green side, having finished, hits a set of sloping magnetic brakes and winds its way down to the station.

The green track features top gun stall that runs over the top of an airtime hill on the blue track, creating another high 5 moment. The top gun stall is unique, holding riders in their seats with positive forces, upside down, for an extended period.

Following the zero g stall on the green track, the blue track gets its chance to invert, completing a zero g roll over an airtime hill on the green track.

After the high five is an airtime filled double down on the green track, and a satisfying dive off an airtime hump on the blue track.

At the first turnaround is a "high five" element, where both tracks bank 90 degrees, and towards each other, giving the sense that riders can reach up and high five people on the other train. Note how the green track negotiates some fast back and forth twists to achieve this!

Twisted Colossus
Six Flags Magic Mountain
A dispatched train races the train being dispatched behind as it loops around at the midway point. The upside of this approach is a very long ride time, and the sense of "riding twice", the downside is that the racing is inconsistent, since it depends on the loading speed of riders. The ride system does it's best however, adjusting the speed of the lift hill in an attempt to achieve a race between trains. An steep 80 degree drop leads into a low profiled speed hill.

Twisted Colossus
Six Flags Magic Mountain
Twisted Colossus is a rebirth of the original Colossus roller coaster, which opened in 1978. The original ride was a pair of racing wooden coasters, but a rebuild in 2015 saw new steel tracks, a much more twisted and extreme layout, and the connection of the two tracks into one continuous mobius loop.
