At the far end of the launch track is a machinery room containing a winch and hydraulic motor. Hydraulic fluid is pressurised then allowed to rush into the hydraulic motor at launch time. This rapidly winds the winch in, hauling the train down the launch.

You can see a red 'sled' is attached to a loop of cable (with a pulley behind it) The sled runs down the middle of the track, with the underside of the train hooking onto it.
