The face tops off the art deco charm of Luna Park in Melbourne.
Luna Park in Sydney has a similar face greeting its guests.
From the ride, guests get a good view of the park and surroundings.
Using the forces of gravity, riders are close to inverted at the peak of the ride.
The ride can take up to 40 riders at once.
The model is named Enterprise because of the obvious resemblance to Star Trek's Enterprise.
Much of the original artwork remains after 95 years in operation.
The ride features 68 original horses, and two chariots.
Known as PTC#30, it was USA manufacturer PTC's thirteenth machine.
It was custom built by PTC for the Sydney park which closed, allowing Luna Park to purchase it for £15,000 in 1918.
At this stage construction was very nearly completed on the first tower of Extreme H2O Zone.
Still to open though is the Black Hole tube slide and later in 2006 is Tornado.
Extreme H2O Zone opened January 21.
The new area is said to increase the park's capacity by 50%.
There are two tube slides, two speed slides and one freefall slide.
