Dreamworld's water park gets a name

Whitewater World will be the name of Dreamworld's all-new second gate water park, due to open in December of 2006.

When reached for comment, Dreamworld officials had nothing to add, but assured fans that all will be revealed before too long.

The park is set to feature a wavepool and three slide towers when it opens as well as numerous other attractions, with extensive landscaping and theming to create added atmosphere.

Whitewater World is currently well under construction and on schedule for its December opening, in time for the busy summer holiday period. The park will be separate admission, but two and three day passes will be offered allowing entry to both Dreamworld and Whitewater World.

Future plans also include hotels, as well as the CityWalk entertainment and shopping precinct to be built on adjacent land.
