Arkham Asylum - Shock Therapy Overview
A standard Vekoma Suspended Looping Coaster clone seen at many parks around the world, with the one key difference being an additional helix at the end of the layout.
It features 5 inversions: It features a roll over, sidewinder, and double inline twist.
Themed to Lethal Weapon until April 2012 when the ride was overhauled and given a Batman Arkham Asylum theme. The new version debuted with a new train built by KumbaK, featuring more open restraints and making the ride somewhat more comfortable.
In 2016 the option to ride with a VR headset at extra cost was added.
The voice of The Joker was performed by Mark Hamill for this ride.
Arkham Asylum stood unoperational from December 2019 with its permanent closure later confirmed. Demolition of the ride commenced in July 2022 to make way for a new Wizard of Oz themed area.
