Bellewaerde Overview
Originally established as a bird park by Albert Florizoone in 1954, more animal exhibits were progressively added in subsequent years. The first amusement rides begun to be installed through the 1980s. The park has areas themed around the Wild West, Mexico, India, Canada and the children's "Popinoland".
