Big Dipper Overview
Demolished due to high refurbishment costs.
The Victorian Minister of Planning overthrew the St. Kilda City Council's decision to disallow the demolition, in anticipation of the Boomerang expected from World Expo 88's Space Park. This deal fell through and the ride was replaced with the Galaxy, now known as Metropolis.
