Carousel Overview
First constructed in the late nineteenth century, the Racing Cockerels Carousel was leased to Luna Park by a private collector from 2004 to November 2006, who then sold it to the park in early 2007. The carousel retains its original steam engine -- although electricity is used to power the ride-- and is accompanied by an 89-key, 1904 Gavioli organ.
