Jamberoo Action Park review by BotanicalGoddess

Rated 5.0 Jamberoo is a magnificent waterpark, it is a 1.40hour drive from western Sydney, maybe 2.40 hours from the City.

Jameroo is an all day visit, so getting there at opening is ideal. What you will need to think about is what you will need for the day. I recommend a beach kart if you have kids and multiple things to bring with, esky filled with drinks and food. Food prices at Jamberoo are quiet expensive, however if you're on holiday and don't mind to splurge then so be it, however the menu is very limited.
There are coin operated BBQ's, however first-in-best-dressed. You can hire a BBQ through the park, limited to first-in-best-dressed.
As we had a billabong shack, we were not allowed to have one of these, at or near the shack due to safety reasons.
Be sure to check all this prior to booking a hut/shelter they are non-refundable and cannot transfer the day booked.

As the park is so big, there is a train that can get you around the park, however hard if you haven't dropped off your stuff yet.
If you book a shack/shelter then you too need to purchase tickets for each family/friend, per age recommendation, on top of purchased shelter/hut.

This park is super family friendly, so many kid friendly areas. However expect the hills you have to walk up & down to take it out of you, especially if you"re unfit. The Taipan hill is extremely steep.
The wave pool is surrounded by sand, gives you that fake beach vibe with made waves at intervals.
the Lagoon is a good one, get in a single tube or double and enjoy the relaxing motions around the lagoon.
They have Toboggans, they do not run if it is raining, due to saftey reasons.
The cable lift chairs still work during the rain, nice for a height driven slow ride to the top of the hill and back down if you wish.
The funnel web was personally my fave, it was dark, unpredictable and exhilarating.
Most fun i've had in a while, they did have a weight pad for the 4 riders getting in the raft, however I've noticed they've turned it off on my second visit, this distributed the weight evenly.
The Taipan is another dark ride, no surprises with this one though and both tunnels are the exact same so if you only did one, don't bother dragging you're self all that way up the steep hill to find out what the other one is about, it will be a waste of your time if you have no interest riding the same ride.

The perfect store was a good one, however not as good as the Funnel web, it had 3 drop tunnels, this to will give you goosebumps.
If you wish to see you're photos from the rides you must check online, it takes a while to upload them, they last 7 days and cost $$ to access to keep without the watermark.
They use face recognition photo capture to find your photos online, I found this to be very annoying as I couldn't use my face, it kept bringing up another's photos. I had to use my husbands face.
They have no other search option, very inconvenient.
You to only have two weeks to purchase them, before they are deleted.

If you choose to not go with a hut/shelter I'd recommend taking a beach tent or umbrella.
There are many grass areas.

No Boogey/body boards allowed, you won't need them anyways. Nor any blow up pool toys.

It's a great day out, lots of memories and a gift shop to remember the day.
