London Eye Overview
A major London landmark, the London Eye is an observation wheel on the banks of the Thames river, which rotates at a steady rate, giving riders 360 degree views of central London and beyond.
The attraction was the tallest observation wheel at opening (Since overtaken by the Singapore Flyer)
However is remains the tallest 'cantelievered' observation wheel, owing to the way it is suspended over the river bank, held up by cables anchored into the ground behind it.
