River King Mine Train Overview
Mine train coaster, with steel tracks that run on a wooden trestle. The ride features three lift hills, and runs close to ground level.
The ride has some interesting points in its history.
When it originally opened there were two roller coasters paired side by side. One of the coasters was sold off to Dollywood, who subsequently sold it to Magic Springs.
During the 1984 season stand up trains were installed, making it one of the first of this style of coaster to operate. This was ultimatley unsucessful, and the ride reverted back to conventional sit down trains.
