Shark Bay Overview
Shark Bay is made up of two lagoons; the Shark Lagoon where a variety of sharks are kept and the Reef Lagoon where guests can snorkel around a replica reef environment surrounded by marine creatures. The two are separated by transparent acrylic walls, allowing snorkellers and divers to see the sharks up close yet safely.
There is also the Touch Pool at the top of the Reef Lagoon, which flows into the Inter-Tidal Zone where anemones and other shallow-water marine creatures live.
Originally slated to open December 26 2003, construction delays pushed the date forward to April 9.
