Superman: Escape from Krypton Overview
Superman: Escape from Krypton uses LSM (linear synchronous motors) to launch the single shuttle along a straight launch track from 0-161km/h in seven seconds. Shuttle has seats arranged in four rows with four riders per row except the front row which only has three riders.
At the time of opening, the ride was known as Superman: The Escape and was equal fastest ride in the world - tied with the Tower of Terror at Dreamworld. The ride features twin tracks, both have the exact same profile as Tower of Terror at Dreamworld.
In 2010, the ride was temporarily closed to refurbish it into a new ride experience which features backwards launching cars and a new colour scheme. The redeveloped ride reopened in 2011.
