Taipan Overview
Enclosed family raft slide. The slide differs from conventional waterslides in that it features a series of tight 360 degree helixes along the way down where the width of the slide bulges out dramatically.
This change in geometry forces rafts to whip high up onto the wall as they negotiate each 360 helix, allowing riders to feel strong centrifugal forces.
The slide concludes with a 5m wide cylindrical "rattle" chambers. The slide feeds rafts into the chamber at a right angle. The momentum carried by the rafts cause them to oscilate up and down the inside walls of the chamber a couple of times till they are flushed out the end.
