The Demon Overview
In 2004 The Demon was sold to Alabama Adventure theme park in Alabama, USA. The Demon originally operated as "Titan" in Space Park at Expo 88 in Brisbane. It was originally set to move to Melbourne's Luna Park as a replacement for the Big Dipper. When this deal fell through, the ride was purchased and installed at Wonderland.
Utilised the Arrow Dynamics style of track which Netherlands-based Vekoma licensed from the American firm. The trains, like all early Vekoma looping coasters, were built by Arrow Dynamics but featured Vekoma's own design of horsecollar restraint. Interestingly, later in the ride's life at Wonderland, some of the restraints were replaced by Arrow's style of restraint, characterised by their softer foam and simpler design.
