Wipeout Overview

Rare example of a Vekoma Waikiki Wave Super Flip.

Features a gondola with two rows of seats, suspended between two independently rotating arms. This allows the gondola to be swept around, twisted and flipped.

The ride has a tsunami/surfing theme.Beneath it, the ride previously featured a lagoon with water jets and a motorised shark that would circle underneath, though these elements were removed in the second half of 2007. In early 2014 the ride was closed for a major reconstruction that saw the ride given significant mechanical repairs and improvements to the ride's theme.

It remained closed for virtually all of 2017, reopening in early 2018.

Dreamworld announced on 8 March 2019 that Wipeout was permanently closed. At the time it had been closed for unscheduled maintenance for many months.
