  1. did anyone catch the cedar point documentary on sunday i think it was channel 9, anyway my sister taped in for me. and ive just watched it and must say awesome they cover all the rides including on ride footage gave great facts and history about the park and area, also showed the hotels including big bear which has the worlds biggest indoor water park, and also a tour of Cleveland.
  2. yes you have a right to your opion but you said best coaster in the world, not australia. and if you want to talk about best coaster in australia there are 2 TOT and Lethal Weapon, not cyclone and thats my opion
  3. posted by boycotta I mean NO disrespect but dude if you think a vekoma boomerang is one of the best coasters in the world you need help
  4. I work there and could say lots of good and bad things but I wont. main difference is WBMW gold coast is owned by warner bros/village roadshow where WBMW germany and spain are owned by Six Flags (with characters and mechinsed licened by WB) so you have a movie park like USH with the one down here VS a thrill park like SFMM, knotts up there.
  5. when were you at dreamworld as for names thunder dolphin rocks sure godzilla would be what americans would call a coaster in the middle of Tokyo , but I think Thunder Dolphin sounds awesome and after seeing the video looks awesome. And in 86 days I will be riding Thunder Dolphin

you will have to walk thur shop which IMO is good because tourist equal money and money equals me having a job and new attractions in the future. it will be on the other side of the exit, not where the transfer track is. and reason for camera being at ghost train part of ride is cameras always needing adjusting ect so it is much easy to run down the side of the track and fix, than put on a harness climb up to the wild mouse part in the dark.
  7. construction has began on scooby doo shop at exit of ride, will feature ride photos as well. the camera will be where the 2 swinging axes are .
  8. I hope the new attraction has "sharks with fricken laser beams attach to there heads" involved
  9. thats awesome rich i always thought it was just me that had to log in each time
  10. Disneyland has closed down space mountain for 2 years and will reopen for disneylands 50Th in 2005. I 1st rode space mountain in 1995 then 98, 99, 00, 01 it was a great indoor coaster but closing it is for the best as something even better will come of space mountain in 2005 Just out of intrests who on the boards has ridden space mountain at anaheim's disneyland before?
  11. there are a couple of fellows from america at work at the moment installing some system, that I cant talk about right now, anyway they also do the other australian parks, plus some parks in the states including Dollywood anyway one of them told me the following today wonderland is making there areas (lands) smaller because its to big a park and needs to be smaller so people can get around in a day after this construction a ride will be installed but he wouldnt say what. but did say more rides would follow also said scenic world in Sydney would be a known name in the press next year and will hold a world record for highest drop.
  12. yeah make sure you do both disney parks but what you could do is if you go on a friday or saturday disneyland opens 9am to 12 midnite so you could do DCA 9 am to 4pm (7 hours) and disneyland 4pm to 12am (8 hours) As for vegas I stayed at NYNY on my 1st trip there its a nice hotel (but all the hotels at that end of the strip are) the only disapointing thing was its pool isnt that great compared to the others. but great hotel for theming and everything else, make sure you tour though all the hotels all the way down to Sahara each hotel has its own great theme , with some having shopping malls, shows and niteclubs in as well and Circus Circus has a indoor theme park which is cool. as for the coaster at NYNY, manhatten express good element is the dive roll but the coaster is really slow and expenses $10 compare to speed which is $6. have fun and if you need any advice on vegas just reply or email me P.S make sure you go to Studio 54 niteclub at MGM
  13. posted by djrappa dude have fun , but dont skip DCA it is a great park , it may not have all the rides SFMM has but it's rides are quailty with alot of disney money and theming put in to them sfmm is great for the amount of coasters but has the worst rep of all the parks, you only need a day there, the staff are rude the rides are not maintain and so on. I go to California every year and always want to go back for Knotts Berry Farm and Disney for its magic. I have had mates who have traveled with me from London who thought sfmm look better but ended up sayin Knotts was better as well as Disney I hope this advice helps. also go on Speed The Ride at the sahara in Las Vegas the smoothest launch coaster I have ever been on. my top 5 rides (i have been on ) (1) Ghostrider (Knotts) (2) Speed (las vegas) (3) Goliath (Sfmm) (4) California screamin (DCA) (5) Riddlers Revenge (Sfmm)
  14. have fun I will be going in july for my 6 time anyway if you can get there early then start from the left where Viper and X are, SFMM is like a big circle with a mountain in the middle on the mountain is superman and ninja you do these rides when you get around to where riddler revenge is. every time i have gone ive walk around the park from left to right and never missed a ride and always had time. (small note if X happens to have a long queue start at viper and finsh at X )

heys guys today while at work in my video games section of movieworld a real estate broker who was waiting for her kids to come off Scobby Doo came and talked with me for about 30 mins and had the following to say. the land next to movieworld to the north has been bought by the following people (1) the parcel of land near the freeway has been bought by Coles. (2) there are plans for a 20 story hotel and shops which will be planed and themed around the movieworld concept, plus there is to also be built a hospital just behind. (3) A Japanese Business Man has purchased land to the north for 23 million/ billion "cant remember what I heard probably million" and its to be called tuxedo valley. also she talked about dreamworld building shops and hotels (which I have heard before) and she knew about IAAPA coming here next year. take this for what you will but this could explain why Movieworld are expanding and likely to get a great coaster because they will need it with increased crowds. AND BY THE WAY SHE WAS A FINE M.I.L.F
  21. Hey guys I know attendance at our parks skyrockets from dec 26 for a month, but today mon 23 attendance jumped from its normal average of 2500 - 3000 to 5600 its was crazy and there a forecast of 10, 000 for next mon 30th what was seaworld like joz?
  22. the western area is to be opened again from boxing day starting with the old shooting gallery and the building oppisite and will expand even more next year. It will be called Intencity "and why do I know this because it will be one of my new jobs."
  23. from what I know it sounds like they will build this arena in front of the movie studios in between Wet n Wild and Movieworld near the traffic lights. P.S JOZ went to movieworld awards at Wet n Wild tonight fun free food and alcholo nice plus got to ride some rides and check out whilpool then me and my retail lady friend went over the road to dukes tavern for some drinks with the ride ops.
  24. dude ive been to one of the top parks in the world Knotts Berry Farm and the longest queue I had was 15min for ghostrider (park about same size as Dreamworld), trust me Dreamworld and Movieworld can afford to have big coasters they attendance is around the same as most overseas parks "with the exception of Disney" Rich was right scobby doo has a queue every day today after training for my new postion ? I had to wait 20 min to ride scobby. And every year as "JOZ" will tell you the attendance at our parks is rising I found out tonight at the movieworld awards that because of the Bali Bombings most Aussie and Kiwis who were going that way for xmas are now coming to the Gold Coast and we have been told all the hotels are really full over the next few weeks from boxing day.
  25. superstar live in concert isnt there anymore joz. as for construction I was told by a boss that matrix coaster cant open till matrix 3 comes out which is nov 2003 (but thats the american date so maybe dec) 8)
