It has been confirmed by guest services at Movie World that rides within the Looney Tunes Village including the river ride will stay and that only new rides will be added to the area. The rides will be designed mainly for children and is yet to be confirmed whether adults will be able to ride as well. The rides and area in general is expected to be completely open some time in October.

Just got of the phone with dreamworld and the expected opening time for the coaster will be determined along with the promotion of the ride once they can determin they are on schedule with construction. She did however say an opening will be before the christmas holidays along with the vintage cars which will be reopened at around the same time.

Just got of the phone with dreamworld, the mine ride is closed due to the age and unavailability of parts to repair which would also explain the temporary eating area and no work, (no parts meens no work) the lady did say the ride is one of their most popular and providing they can get the parts the ride will reopen but unsure when untill they get the parts to repair the ride.

I have recently visited dreamworlds human recourses department and on the wall is a typed brochure/memo saying that the new waterpark will have heated pool/s open all year round including winter. The following is an exact copy of what is written on WATPACS website, confirming a wave pool, tower rides and various other attractions and food and beverage.
