On Dreamworld's website, they have changed the dates for Thunder River Rapids maintenance to: "The following rides and attractions will be closed for scheduled maintenance: Thunder River Rapids under maintenance from 2 May" No date is mentioned relating to the conclusion of it's maintenance. Any update on what is happening near Thunder River Rapids?

I hope this is the right forum to post this topic in. But yesterday, Anna Bligh released details on the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Bid. In the list of the proposed venues mentioned in the media release it says: "Oxenford Studios -Table Tennis & Boxing · Maximises use of existing infrastructure · Cost effective way to deliver these competition venues" If they win the bid, i believe it would provide a rare opportunity for the public to go inside the studios since the closure of the Studio Tour at Warner Brothers Movie World. I think they would still have strict access to the studios if they do host the sports like ticket holders only etc. but it would still be a rare chance to visit the studios.

The POV i was referring to was of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ride not the Looney Tunes River Ride but i still prefer them fully refurbishing the Looney Tunes River Ride instead of replacing it. I agree with the second point, they should build something Looney Tunes themed. It was only an idea because how could they build another ride of that size themed to Looney Tunes. I hope they have a fresh idea because i dont have any lol. Anyway i already said this - 'Even though it isnt related to Kids' WB! or Looney Tunes etc'. I hate how theme parks put rides into areas that dont fit the theme like AVPX in Ocean Parade and the Motocoaster in Rivertown. It was only an idea.

yeh. i watched a POV of it on YouTube. wasnt what i expected but Movie World could greatly improve it. The elevator portion of the ride was interesting though.

Even though it isnt related to Kids' WB! or Looney Tunes etc., they could build a ride based on the movie 'Charlie & The Chocolate Factory' similar to the one at Alton Towers in the UK.

I believe the gunfight in the Western area of Movie World is advertised in the showtimes that you get when you enter the park. It's called the 'Western Town Show Down'. As described in the showtimes - 'Western Town Show Down: This town ain't big enough for the Sheriff and Black Bart. When these two meet there's bound to be a brawl, a few gun shots, and maybe even a Saloon dance. Come join the fun but don't get too close.' I never got to see that show cause i was in an hour-long queue for the Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster. It sounds great though. As for the Sea World shows, the randomness makes it interesting.

You are absolutly right about the funnel web spider. The plans they have displayed on the Jamberoo website are out of date and have since been altered which include altered theming and changes in the proposed new rides. I have been meaning to update Jamberoo Action Park's database entries on the 'Kangeroo Island' devlopment but the website keeps stuffing up.

During the time the Eureka Mountain Mine Ride was closed, the IMAX Theatre got the "closed till futher notice". It reopened 3 days later. So just because it was closed until further notice dosen't mean it is gone forever. It may have been a sudden breakdown.

I was flicking through the Movie World website but when i got to the employment page i found 1 of the attractions. It's called "Mid-Way Games", opens September and you can guess the rest. Can someone confirm if this is right and where it's going to be located. Not that exciting, isn't it?

Movie World and Sea World were chosen as backdrops for dance sequences from the soon to be released Tollywood blockbuster – 'Shankar Dada Zindabad'. 'Tollywood' refers to movies produced in Southern India where as the more commonly known 'Bollywood' refers to movies produced in Northern India. It is located north of the Carousel, west of Cartoon Network Cartoon Beach, south of the Viking's Revenge Flume Ride and east of The Plaza eating and shopping area (the old Pirate Ship location).

Off the Sea World Website - "Seals at Play will be permanently closed from 9 July 2007 to make way for an exciting new attraction." I think they must be building the awaited "Seal Rocks" at the old thrillseeker site (unless the Sea World Eye is not closed, i'm not sure). If not, it must the new penguin exhibit or some unknown ride/attraction.

New info on Taipan - 4 4m high giant red snake heads to be put up at the entry & exits of ride tunnels - 2 3m wide tubular water slides - 2500 to 5000 people per hour - New second slide - It's equivalent to putting the park's 4 most popular rides together - Steeper acceleration lanes have been added along with a tighter radius on the turns - Conveyor to bring rafts to top - 8 shaded huts to be built for guest's comfort - Sand stone wall behind the ride to be 6m high & 80m long. On Monday i'll try to post the confirmed plan of the ride & it's logo.

The park was a very small park until the expansion is complete. Compare Dreamworld & Jamberoo on google earth /maps, you can see it is small. The queues are very long, because of the small amount of rides. They are building another one i think to decrease ride waiting times.

Rapid River is a ride already open at Jamberoo. These are for plans to expand the park, sso they want to build another lazy river. I got this info by emailing Jamberoo. This is not going to like Mammoth Falls, because they are currently building a DARK MAMMOTH called "The Taipan". It will not be a ride like Thunder River Rapids because they want to expand as a water park.

Jamberoo Action Park has unveiled its plan to expand, which would make it one of Australia's leading theme parks. The multi million dollar, ten year plan includes NEW world class rides and a boost in local jobs. Jamberoo Action Park made a splash with its new wave pool. Its about to make a bigger splash.
