Exactly.. I mean come on that is a complete JOKE. I am happy with the slides at WWW but if they keep the prices and policies like this it is going to be a COMPLETE failure. I'm definately buying a WnW pass this summer.
-
Oh, I assumed it was a new site, not that one since it was launched about a month ago. Anyway I found this... WWW's annual pass. WhiteWater World's Aqua Max Pass Get unlimited access to WhiteWater World excluding school holiday periods and public holidays. Aqua Max Pass holders are entitled to a 15% discount on food, beverages and merchandise and the chance to bring up to 4 friends to WhiteWater World in the month of their birthday for half price! * Adults: $125* * Children / Seniors / Pensioners / Disabled / Carer: $80* ARE YOU JOKING ME? HOW DODGE. NO SCHOOL HOLIDAYS? LIKE WTF. Also entry will be capped... WhiteWater World visitor numbers are capped to ensure there is no overcrowding. Entry will be on a first come, first served basis. Once the park capacity is reached we cannot permit any further entries.
-
What is the URL of the newly launched website?
-
Tickets are supposed to go on sale tomorrow. However RACQ and NRMA sites still have no information regarding them, nor does the WWW website. Do you think it will be updated tonight?
-
omg the drop looks amazing i actually cant wait ps thanks for your support with the interview guys, hopefully it goes well!
-
I have an interview to work there :] Woo I'm excited. Yeah the Green Room is a bit dodgy but when you know what it is it's actually not a bad name.
-
Who cares what the name is? People are going to ride the rides for the quality, not the name. And they aren't that bad anyway! For example: You don't just judge someone because their name is "John" or something.. Anyway how good does the wave pool sound! 1.5 meter waves and a 50m break AWESOME. I get cramps in the WnW one..
-
I get sick on the swinger zinger, gravitron, matterhorn or angry beavers thing whatever, AND the reefdiver. I hate spinny rides. lol. MOVIE WORLD HAS NO HEIGHT LIMIT.G
-
lol sounds good to me gazza
-
I don't think Movie World has a height limit, though Sea World should definately. This is why there are no majorly huge buildings in the Southport area. Council rules unfortunately. The ride would have had to be approved by council.
-
Yeah my brother didn't want to go on it because he thought they were spew shields lol. So did I, but still. They are gross.
-
Yeah, definately for a Space Shot. Maliboomer at DCA isn't that high. At DCA they have these plastic screens that go over your head. I don't know what they are for (I suspect incase of someone spewing and it going all over you) lol. Can anyone explain and will Batwing unfortunately have these?
-
Ooo do they? How fun! Where are they?
-
I'm glad someone is seeing eye to eye on me with this. The price of Dreamworld is disgusting. It has risen and risen over the last 5 years... with the additions of Nick Central, Wiggles World and the Claw all contributing to Dreamworld becoming a definite favourite among themeparkers. Dreamworld has taken advantage of this and now they are basically throwing away their customers because of their price.
-
Yeah I don't know Lisa lol. Probably. Whatever it doesn't matter about the maintenance. The point is Dreamworld tickets are already really expensive and without any major new rides besides that Rosy Teacup thing, there is no point in raising the price.
-
Does anyone know how the water will travel in the slides? Because the uphill sections do have LIM launch but will there be water going across the top of these? Because a water slide does need water... Is there jets in the slide for the downhill sections?
-
They sold 7000 tickets. That is massive. Good luck getting on any rides.
-
They may need longer than that - When I had my annual pass in 2004 they were closed for 3 extra days. Also I said not so close to school holidays - people do take last weeks of school off and Private schools in QLD finish 2 weeks earlier than other schools so we are going away for those 2 weeks
-
The point is that Dreamworld has no reason to increase prices. What is new there for guests to enjoy? Nothing! And not to mention the 2 week closures of The Giant Drop, and Wipeout which are scheduled to occur in the next month. How are you supposed to enjoy the Big 5 Thrill Rides if there's only 4 operating? I know this is probably scheduled maintenance but they could put it further back in the year and not so close to School Holidays!

There's no way it will be underneath the fibreglass, unless the tubes have some sort of magnets in them. LIM launch systems, which rely on the principal of an eddy current, use simple conductive fins rather than the much heavier fixed magnets of the LSM system. An electrical current is passed through a series of electromagnets, generating a linear traveling magnetic field. Eddy currents that oppose this movement are formed in the train’s conductive fins and these push the train forward ahead of the forward-moving magnetic field. Unlike LSM systems, the timing of the magnets does not need to be precise, so while the magnets are activated sequentially it is done to reduce heat and conserve power.

I am taking my brother about 3 days after it opens for his bday, though I think I will visit myself or with a mate on Opening day

lol. Anyway. How much are we actually expecting single day tickets to be? Adults and Children/Pensioners? They are on sale in 5 days, someone must have at least SOME idea of the prices?
-
Did anyone hear an official date of December 26? Like is it signed sealed delivered because I have a feeling it would open December 1st to maximise its use in the school holidays...
