This is what I'm hopeing for!! . But where would they install them?? Looney Tunes Village is about packed to the top with flat rides, so I don't think they would be puttin the kiddy one in there. The thrill ride (flat ride) could go into the Wild West area, mostly because the only attraction down there is the WWF. OR ,as some forum members have been saying, they could take out the Lethal Weapon show building and install a flat ride there. If they did install two new flat rides, mabey the kiddy one could be a traffic Jam flat ride (THE PIC IS ATTACHED DOWN THE BOTTOM) apparently it got the best family attraction award in 06 when on show at IAAPA. As you said thunder001, Rumors are getting placed nearlly everywhere on this forum and you can put as much trust into them as you want. Therefore, my trust goes to your "Thrid Most Common Rummor" because I like the idea of installing more flat rides, even though it would be nice for MW to have a unique Studio Tour. p.s: IT WAS MY BITHDAY YESTERDAY - TURNED 14, YAY!!!! cOAsTERbOY8

^^Yer WnW Rocks that would be cool. First stand-up coaster for Australia, but you still have that fact that it's being installed into a waterpark. It's really strange that WVTP's choose a Waterpark, that has been getting new attractions for years now, rather than Sea World, who has not got a perminent new attraction for ages! CoasterBoy6

Yer, I wish I could just hop on a plane and fly to the gold coast. But, as my sigy says, I'll be heading down with my family for 9 days in September. My little bro (he's 8 years old) loves thrill rides, and was really peed off last year when we went to movieworld and couldn't ride SE or Lethal Weapon!! .This is what made us ride SDSC over and over agian. LOL, Not that I'm complaining though!!! Anyway, I'm sure he will want to go on the Bro as well. He also loved the new and improved Buccaner Bay, so I guess he will love the Nickelodian Pipeline Plunge! CoasterBoy8

Unfortunately, I didn't end up going to the old special effects show at Movieworld, but I would really like there to be one. Something like the Backlot Tour at Universal Studios would be a great addition to the park. They could include something like Catastrophy Canyon and Disney MGM Studios and you could also go through a fake set. Like in Universal studios when you go through the city streets, which are really sets and props. The things you see on the tour could also be changed every now and then, so that it keeps up with the latest movies. I love this idea as well, it would really appeal to the little ones and junior school kids, but then again high school students studying film etc. would get a kick out of it. I really like this idea because there is a hands-on approach to the attraction. Most of Movieworlds attractions are rides, and there is no real interactivity in the attractions; this would fill the gap nicely. Hopefully, Movieworld adds one of theses types of attractions to their line-up of activities. As Richard said, it would make MW a full-day park and add some flavor to the park. CoasterBoy8

Great Pics WnW!! I like how you got the close-ups on the faces of the riders on the cyclone, STHC and green room!! I like your style Dreamworld Rulz, but as WnW Rocks said: There won't be much airtime now. I'm sure if your light enough there would be some airtime, mabey not like the video on WWW's wewbsite though!! . Anyway, with in regards to the people getting stck in Super Tubes, how did they open the netting? Did they strech it open or is there like an emergency opening if theses things happen? CoasterBoy6
-
Not as LETHAL as Lethal Weapon I hope!! It seems to me that the forces that you experience of the BRO are pretty extreme for a waterslide! Mabey because it's the first 8-laner in the world, Proslide didn't really expect how force-full the ride actually is. Or mabey, it depends on how light (weight) you are. Anyway, it looks really cool and there have been great reviews about it, so I asume the waterslide is really good. However, it still doesn't explain why people are getting stuck or doing barrel rolls in-side the tubes!! CoasterBoy8

I still can't get my head around the fact that they are installing a dry ride, but it seems that WVTP's know what there doing! Anyway, great pics Joz. The thingI liked about these pictures is how you got close-ups of all the brakes and wires that control the ride, very interesting!! CoasterBoy6

Amen to that!! I think when djrappa said there was alot of twisted metal track, he was putting more emphasis on that the track is already arrived and adding that word to the sentence adds more excitement. E.G: The track is not actually twisted. Anyway, I hope this gets put up quickly, I'll get to ride it in September!!!YAY CoasterBoy6

Modern Marvels. Two documentaries for you to download
WalleyWorld replied to Gold Coaster's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I got 3 questions for ya Tony. 1. How up-to-date are these doco's? Do they show coasters that have just been built. E.g: Expedition Everest & Tatsu. 2. Waht is a Torrent? 3. What type of format do these videos come in? And what type of player should I download, if the format can't be played with Window Media 11. Thanks, CoasterBoy8 -
Seeing that sketch makes me want Surfrider back in Seaworld. The theme just suits Sea World SOOOO well. Anyway, That design is really, really good. It blows my mind how you can draw the track so close to the real thing!! And it's probably the best concept drawing yet, *High Five* (say in Borat accent). Just a question, What are you going to do for a living when you get out of Uni Gazza? You should be an architecture or a designer of some sort. If you have a very imaginative mind, you can go places. Take Walt Disney for example !! Thanx for sharing your drawings with us Gazza. I'm looking forward to your next one aready!! CoasterBoy6

Cum'on people, we have had this talk soooo many times before!! I don't know why people are still bringing it up. Anyway, as much as I am sick and tired of these types of threads, I'll still pay recognition to good ideas. As for your idea Ash, it's OK. The only reason that I don't like it is because you are wiping out warehouses/buildings for a little bit of space. If you can find an empty space to move those warehouses/buildings to, than I think this is a great area for the park to expand. And also the idea about moving Looney Tunes Village (FORUM MEMBER: ihatemisssly), It could be done. But, you would most likely losse a lot of money in the processe. However, as I said to Ash, If you can find another area to place LTV, then I don't see why not? . CoasterBoy8 P.S: This should never be done. I REPEAT: This should never be done!!!!!

If anyone wants to view the "Guide To The Gold Coast" special on Getaway last night, try this link:Gold Coast Special It comes in three parts: Part 1: Hotels and the outer regions of the Gold Coast. E.G: Coolangatta, Mermaid Beach. Part 2: Shows all about Surfers Paradise. E.G: Shops, attractions and Resorts. Part 3: Themeparks. They show Movieworld, Seaworld (non of the rides ), Wet'n'Wild, Dreamworld and a tiny snipet of WWW's entrance. CoasterBoy8

BOOOOO! Only during the summer, what about the other slide? YAAAAAY!! I love Hotel Waterslides; it feels like you have then all to your self! WHOOW! That's really expensive! Anyway, back on track, where is this hotel located? It looks like it's right next to the beach; is it in Surfers? CoasterBoy8

What are you referring to, your firends or the North Melbourne AFL Team? CoasterBoy8
-
Ok, after reading your post Gazza, i can now realize how stupid I was in saying to join the parks!! . And the thing about firing staff, i really didn't mean it, it sort of came out because I just heard about where the "surf rider" is going. Woops! And the coment that I made about the seats being water proof, I was thinking of the seats that have padding. Like the head rests on Lethal Weapon. To end on a positive note, I think that adding a flat ride to a water park is a very good way in seperating themselves from their competition. Especially if the ride is avaible to ride in bathers!! CoasterBoy6 P.S: Sorry if I've confused or have offended anybody in my previous post.

^So what your saying Richard, is that WnW could be turning into a: Or even better , mabey MW and WnW are going to join, making more room for expansion for MW. They could also do what all the major parks in America are doing: Adding the waterpark name to the dry park name. E.G: Holiday World and Splashin' Safari. Anyway, whatever WnW wants to do with this I don't really care. However, what ever they are trying to do, so that they can seperate themselves from WWW, better turn out innovative or WnW will be back to square one. CoasterBoy6

I posted this up in another topic, but it seems more appropriate here: This is um, a really strange choice for WVTP's? .I'm just really suprised that they are going to put a dry ride into a massive waterpark. Mabey they changed the Half Pipe from Seaworld to WnW becuase of the rocket slide and all the other new attractions at WWW. And the only way to top/beat that (but without copying WWW's idea of the rocket slide) they had to bring in something BIG to beat WWW at it's game. So they are now bringing in a dry ride. . I really think this is a funny attraction to put in a waterpark and I think they should fire who ever thought up this Idea. However, they could customize it to make it a very wet ride that does need bathers. Mabey it's going to have water sprays and jets that hit you as you fly up and down the half-pipe. And WVTP's could also have talked to the manufacturer, so that the seats can be waterprof and also the carriges. What are your guys thoughts on this new attraction? CoasterBoy6

WalleyWorld replied to dreamworld_rulz's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Sounds like your having a great time! Geez, i never thought the lines were that short in Feb. It seems like the place is only filled up with overseas tourists. Anyway, looking forward to the WWW and DW trip report and pics !! CoasterBoy6 -
Superman Escape Closed For Maintenance
WalleyWorld replied to Gold Coaster's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Looks like your in luck DWRulz!! Man I'd be sooo peed off if I missed out on ridin Superman . And to think that I was worried about Tornado! Anyway, hope MW Keep these dates, for your sake. CoasterBoy6 -
I love your thinking WnW Rocks, LoL . Nar, serious, if they took down the house and the ampitheater than this would leave alot of room to expand the park. Mabey there is going to be a new area? Back on topic: Where would they put the house? The Fox studios is in the heart of Sydney isn't it? CoasterBoy6
-
I don't really care how they got the phone/camera onto the ride. I'm just happy that somebody has taken the liberty in making an on-ride video; even though it's against the rules. Anyway, I don't know why Australian parks are so unhappy about having cameras on the ride? . Most parks in America and around the world let you take cameras on. CoasterBoy6

PS3 to Launch in Europe and Australasia on 23rd March 2007
WalleyWorld replied to dreamworld_rulz's topic in Gaming
WARNING - This first paragraph is important: One thing about the Blue-ray on the PS3 is that you won't get the full quality of the DVD if you don't have a very high definition t.v. Alot of people don't realise this and will probably what there moneys back only to realise that their t.v's is what the problem is. As for what I think about it: Well it is alot of money and because I don't play PS2 enough to fully enjoy the new console, You won't see me getting it. And if I do I'll be getting the one with the smaller hard drive and also making sure that the price has decreased alot!! CoasterBoy6 -
I'd like to know how they did the in-door section as well as the stop before the launch. I'm also baffled about the smoke?!?! coasterBoy6
