I heard this story about two days ago on the radio. Oh and Joz, point number 2, is what should happen if they (meaning the family) don't get any money out of Disney. CoasterBoy6

Looney Tunes River Ride vs. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
WalleyWorld replied to Swanny's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Everybody has got really good Ideas!! . But, I have to go with the removing the carpark option. It is a much better idea to keep the park Togethor! Therefore, making less walking distance between attractions and areas of the park. The carpark can be easily removed (this is what DW done to accomadate WWW). So if what I hear people saying is true: "If DW can do it, MW can do it". Than there is no problem with taking out the carpark and replacing it with a new area. One question though, how will you make a walk-way to the area? A pathway could be made through the back of RR in Looney Tunes Village. Howevr, In the pic that Gazza has posted up, the area behind Road Runner looks covered in warehouses and buildings. So it could be tricky to make entry through there. CoasterBoy6 -
PLUS you people up in Queensland are in the direct parth of El Nino. Therefore making you guys the ones that will be the first to feel the weakening affects of it. CoasterBoy6

Possible new ride themes/ideas?
WalleyWorld replied to Chaos-Maniac's topic in Theme Park Discussion
That looks like a really good idea!!!. It could be used in alot of diffrent themes. If MV got one they could theme it to a old western ghost town. They could have a pre-show that tells you about a gang that ruled the town many years ago. However, instead of using traditional guns they used their own invention, water guns. You get into the cars (which are meant to be your tour vechiles, but armed with guns, just in case). The first part of the ride, there will be nothing to shoot at, because you are getting a tour of the town. However, when you come by one of the members of the gang, he tells you that you must leave the town now or face your death. (This is because you have stepped into the gangs territory). After the encounter with the gang member, the guns are enabled (switched on). Your cars can't leave the town, because of a bridge that has been torn down. So you have got no choice, but to fight your way out. You encounter another gang member, but this time he tells you that because you didn't leave the town, you are going to have to fight your way out. At this point he tells you the rules. You have to shoot the target to disable the water guns and other water effects so that you don't get wet. Everybody makes it out of the town, but depending on your skill, you might get wetter than others. I think this is a great idea but unfortunately the western area of WV already has a water ride, and needs rather a coaster than another water ride to pull in people. But, as I said before, splash battles can be themed to nearly anything. Anyway, what do you guys think about the theming idea? CoasterBoy6 -
Thanks everybody for commenting, really appreciate it. Anyway, down below I have posted up the official website for the Prison Break attraction, it's quite interesting: Here is the website: http://www.prisonbreaklive.com/

Ok, yesterday (29th) I went to Melbourne's Luna Park with my family and cousins. Really, I don't know why everybody puts down Luna Park, It really is a good day out. Considering we stayed from 11:00 to 6:00!! Anyway, we got to the gate at around 11:00 and there was a line coming out of the mouth and around the corner into the park!!!!! . All the times I have been to Luna Park I've never seen so many people. People were still buying tickets after Luchtime! Anyway, we got our yellow bands on and headed over to the Scenic Railway. Even thuogh it's rough and really old, It still is a quality wooden rollercoaster. We ended up getting the front 2 seats, which made the ride alot smoother. The drop through the tunnel after the first drop gives you some really good airtime. We only did it once cause after lunch the line went all the way to the bumper cars. Beleive me, it was PACKED! After that the smaller kids did the silly serpent and the elephant ride. While they did that I went on the Pharohs Curse. This was my first time on the ride and didn't know what to expect. The restraint system is very simular to the Wipeout's, just that you don't have a OTSR. This thing, I swear, hangs you up side down for atleast 5 to 10 seconds on the last revolution. Anyway, best ride in the park but left me with sore legs. . I did this ride 2 more times during the day because the line was so short. After this we had lunch and headed over to the twin dragon. I've been on this ride before, but the smaller cousins had not been on it. They, suprisingly, enjoyed it (being only 5 I thought they were going to start crying!). Infact everybody loved the ride so much, we ended up doing it more than 5 times!! (the lines went quickly cause of the 40 people at a time capasity!!) After the twin dragon we headed over to the "portable galaxy coaster that has broken down many times". Yes, you guessed it, Metropolis. The coster has some good speed, fast banked turns and two awsome drops, which gives some alright airtime over the top of the 2nd hill. We did this twice because minmum wait was 15min. After this we did the Enterprise and Spider. The Enterprise was better than the one in Dreamworld cause you don't have anything to hold you in(Not even a strap). Anyway, we did the spider, which was nothing special, except we ended up in a carrige that spinned alot, which made it more exciting. The spider also had the longest wait - around 25mins. We only went on it once. Oh, I forgot to tell you guys but Luna Park has got this thing called Prison Break Live. It's open until the end of these school holidays. It's basically a marque tent with a maze inside it. BUT, LP did a really good job with it. The line was long but it moved fast. Here is my review: WARNING!!! **SPOILERS AHEAD** They put you into groups of 4-6 and you walk into a dark room were there is a t.v playing scenes from the Prison Break series ad a door infront of you. And to the left there is a very bright yellow light which blocked your veiw from what was behind it. We were confused at what to do, so me being the closest to the door reached for the handle. As I reached for the door handle, a guard shot a cap gun and came out from the bright yellow light (I nearly dropped the F bomb cuase it scared the crap out of me!!). The guard had cuts and gashes on his face which looked pretty realistic. He told us to hold onto each others shoulders when going through the prison, as it is very dark and you might get lost. You go though the door and the maze is made up of metal wired gates and there is artificial smoke and strobe lighting. The slogan for the ride is "Find your own way out", so I had to lead the group through the maze. The are also people dressed up as prisoners that scare you and direct you to the exit. Some just walk past and stare at you while other pop out and scare the living-daylights out of you!! Overall, it was one of the best "scary attractions" I have been on. And it is soooo much better than the crappy Ghost Train. Everybody came out laughing, including me. Anyway, these holidays go down to Luna Park if you can, cause it is worth it. Only if you go for the bigger, faster rides and Prison Break, it still is a great day out. Oh, make sure you don't go on a weekend. Cause the lines were long on a friday let-alone on a sat or a sunday! CoasterBoy6

Great trip report. Looks like you had fun, did your brother enjoy it to? It was hhis birthday present! CoasterBoy6

^ LoL. It would be funny though. Going through a dark tunnel and then hitting an in-line twist on a FAMILY COASTER!! It would be like going on Reptar at DW, and suddenly you hit an inversion. Anyway, I think if the mine ride goes, than DW should make a new mountain that can incorparate a full train like expedition everest does. BUT, if it is going to be a thrill ride, do a clone or something really simular to Mystery Mine at Dollywood. CoasterBoy6

It sounded like a really good night! Does anybody have any pictures from the event and the rides at night? CoasterBoy6

What is with Batwing's Themeing? - You decide
WalleyWorld replied to Coaster Boy 6's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Enough complaining people!!! Ian what is the new ride? (Any clues). CoasterBoy8 -
Mickey the themeing hasn't been working for ages. I went there 2 years ago in September and it wasn't even working then. From what i can remember, the themeing consisted of a man inside a cage (i think it was a type of machinery). The man said something short like: "Look out... Look out, she's gona blow!!". You then go around a corner and you are heading towards working machinery. You then take a sharp right into a dark cave were they had strobe affects and a rumbling noise to simulate that the mine was collapsing. It was nothing special but it really did add the atmosphere to the ride. Just a thought: Remember everyone saying that in April 07 DW will be installing a new rollercoaster. People have also said that it could be a mine-train coaster. Mabey, Dreamworld are installing the suspected mine-train coaster into the existing area of Eureka Mountain? I really hope this does not happen, the mine ride was the first proper coaster I went on when i was 8-9 years old. This was when roadrunner wasn't built yet. PLEASE DW, DON'T TAKE AWAY THE MINE RIDE!!!! What do you guys think? CoasterBoy6

I totally agree with the 2 posts above me. The area looks half done, I was really over-estimatting what the area was going to look like . And the really crappy attempt to have smoke come out of the car is really bad. Why couldn't the've just attached a couple of smoke machines or mist makers onto the carrige to make it look more reallistic. Anyway, this is a pretty bad effort from Movieworld, but I hope they still have stuff to add to the area. CoasterBoy6 P.S: It would be good if we could get some answers from Ian.

Well I missed it as well. All the major themepark news is only broadcasted on Queensland news. It is so unfair!!! CoasterBoy6

Woa!!! That looks really intense. In the vid it looks like the car reaches the top in nearly 3 seconds. For the people that have ridden it, What does it feal like when you are pushed down after the launch?? Anyway, hope you get some really good pics Ian and I can't wait to see them! CoasterBoy6

Superman the Escape for Sale!

Could somebody tell me how the old Intamin freefalls works? I'm a little bit confused at how the car stops and then goes from a horizontal angle to a vertical angle. Thanks: CoasterBoy6 -
Aussie parks ... In the Beginning
WalleyWorld replied to OzCoasterFreek's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Mabey the theme park story will be a part of the Channel 7 news? Just a though, cause that is when the news is to be scheduled, right? CoasterBoy6 -
Aughhh, I used to love that pass! Because you couldn't do everything in one day. Incuding a good look at all the shows and the Australian Animals exhibit. (Not to mention lots of re-rides) . The reason I loved it was that if had not done something on the first day, you didn't have to miss out on it because you have another day there. (And didn't you only have to pay an extra 10 dollars$$$$. CoasterBoy6

I was looking for rollercoaster calenders , and came across this website:Rolercoaster World. I scrolled to the bottom and I found some really interesting information! . Dreamworld is celerbrating it's 25th birthday . Yes, that's right my fellow enthusiasts, on this day in 1981 Dreamworld opened. If people could help me out and find out what rides opened up with the park, that would be great! Oh and if any body has brochers from past years could you post it up! Thanks, CoasterBoy6

Where can you but it from Tony? I haven't seen it anywhere. I've checked all the major retailers: Target, K-Mart. And EB Games don't even have it either. Anyway, how much does it cost?$$$, and has it got better graphics and than RCT3? Oh, and can you get it on PC and is it more realistic than RCT3.(e.g: Custom track angles and themeing). Thanks, CoasterBoy6
