This would also explain where a lot of the expense will be going.

From the Gold Coast Bulliten today. "Village Theme Parks CEO John Menzies said the Aussie World water park would feature 13 major rides and slides dubbed 'the world's biggest and best', including a Tornado Bowl Slide and a Bohemeth Bowl, Australias first all-weather, year-round water fun ride in the 8000sqm indoor billabong, a large wave pool, rapid river area and a childrens area with tipping water bucket." Looking at the sketches of the park I could not see any indoor area that would be 8000sqm. Does anybody have any insight or ideas of what this may be?

If it is meant tot be accessed from inside and outside the park , where would they put it? The back of WWW is for the expansion.

Can anyone confirm the 1st of May as the final show. Do you think that Movie World will do anything special for this?

Why have we not heard more about this looping slide considering the newsletter the article was in was dated September 2006. If this was such a significant milestone in Water Slide developement you would think that there would be heaps of these around the world. Does anybody know if there have been constructed for public use?

Just a quick update on the water park at the Sunshine Coast. An article from yesterdays Sunshine Coast Daily says the park should be open just in time for summer 2009. Adventura are confident that a revised developement application will pass council with flying colours. It says "It will be the fourth in Australia and the second biggest next to Wet 'n' Wild on the Gold Coast." It expects a first year attendance of around 450,000.

Is this function centre confirmed or are we being fed a white lie with something more exciting from WWW to come?

Ten news just reported that Seaworld may be getting hippos as a new attraction to go along side the polar bears. Still Seaworld management won't discuss it at this time but a brand new attraction is to be announced in the next few months

just heard an article on the radio saying that dreamworld is launching their new "Mick Doohan Motor Coaster" today. supposedly it is going to bank 18 times into corners which means that by the pictures we have there should be alot more track to be built yet.

I was at Disneyland recently and they had a quartet singing in the main street. Now I remeber as a kid that dreamworld had a quartet - its the little things like that that make the atmosphere. Dreamworld needs to get that feeling back. Spending their money on rides doesn't necessarily make it a great place to go. It helps, but people are more likely to spend the money their if they are having a feel good time, not just lining up for ride after ride.
