  1. Oh, my bad. I thought you were talking about Intencity. I always get the two mixed up. I am glad the simulators aren't going into MW or SW then.
  2. Which park are the skydiving simulators going to?
  3. Hmmm -- I'm getting excited! Good spot Gazza. Does anyone on the 'inside' know anything more? Does this mean it must close again?
  4. An air bubble was apparently inside one of the cylinders, which caused hot water to spray and melt everything. That's what I have been told. I found this out the hard way. What angers me is that I had to pay $10 to return, but within 2 days. They can't guarantee the ride would even be back open by then! At the start of the day, I was told the ride would most likely reopen, but I canreturn for $10 if it didn't. He said nothing about the 2-day rule. At the end of the day, when I found out about the rule, I asked if they would let me return a few days after the 2 days since there was no 100% chance or would reopen, but I was told I would need to purchase a 14-day return pass for $40. And I was also busy, but that's beside the point in my opinion. Anyways, I have wrote a page-long letter to Sea World so we'll see what happens. I know I'm not going to get to ride it unless I now pay $140.
  5. More effects have been added. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=5mLJHDUaxpc Hopefully some more improvements to come! It's looking good though.
  6. The park licensing sign out front of Movie World has been updated -- and I'm almost sure it used to say that the latest the park could operate was 11pm. Anyways, now it says 12am. Is that now letting them keep the park open later on night time events? I have always thought the idea of night time trading was a wonderful idea, especially considering the fact that customers would need to purchase dinner, or at least a more substantial meal, while in the park. The entire park's atmosphere is so much better at night time, and if Movie World can sort out buses to and from the park at night, then I am sure it will be a hit with the GP.
  7. Here's some pictures I took today. I have only uploaded three, but they're big enough to place on your desktop. The picture's aren't too good -- the weather was horrible for the 12:30 show. Hopefully I can return soon when the sun is out. ^^ Also Gazza, glad you said that, because I saw the guy on fire in the first video Parkz released and I was wondering where that was today. Plus, you can clearly see an area in the ground near the fuel pumps are where fire could be added. So I'm sure in a few months time we'll have a huge hit on our hands.
  8. Wow, the theming on the main part is to die for! I love it! It even makes up for the painted on side walls. At least they still look decent. The stunts look great and I'm glad they've put some funny parts into it. I just wish the explosion was a bit bigger though. Is it the only one? I am heading down tomorrow to hopefully see it live, and if it isn't open I will venture down Boxing Day -- although will have to see a morning show since I'm working in the afternoon (double time and a half ). Does anyone know how many shows will be shown on Boxing Day? Hopefully there's a few morning ones. Also thanks to Gavin for answering my question in more detail. I was hoping an entrance like this though:
  9. Woops ^ Cool article. Shame about the painted on facades though.
  10. I only sent my full name through -- do you think that would be enough? They didn't ask for any other information on the e-mail. Although, I don't think I would get in, after all, I replied after 1am. Either way, I'm going to hit the park Tuesday and see if there is a soft launch like the paper said.
  11. Has/will the entrance be re-themed? I will be so upset if they just replace the PA logo with a Holllywood Stunt Driver one.
  12. Thanks so much! I may venture down over the weekend or Monday to see what it's like. Thanks again!
  13. Is there any way someone could put the article up on here?
  14. He doesn't like the truth. Cadboy wasn't being rude.
  15. How many cars in total? If there's just two I'm going to be board... seriously.
  16. Have you looked at them closely? I think someone is telling whoppers... after all, there's a few people on this site who have done such things and continue to do so.
  17. There's no way it could detect if it was undone, surely? It's just a simple belt with no cords, sensors, etc visible? Can anyone clarify this?
  18. Maybe, just maybe, the top will be covered up by an arch. So you can't see the ramp. And, for easy access from the left-hand side to the other side, you can go over the ramp. Yes, no? Maybe so? Only time will tell...
  19. There's no way they'd place a coaster behind there (it would be impossible), or even just use it for a path. The road behind the painted wall is used to get around the park behind the scenes (well dah, it's a road) and there is really no room behind. An added path behind would then require theming to be added behind the current facades. Also, what happens to the road? Plus, let's not forgot about the people who live behind, as sonic said. 'If' they were to build something back there they would find another area to place a path. No doubt about that. Sorry klassen... You may work for the park but common sense still prevails...
  20. That ad is just annoying! And they're too cheap to even get a new one made...
  21. Wet'n'Wild didn't fork out $10+ million for something similar. Whereas, Movie World would be paying that for something very similar.
  22. I think that's a stupid idea. Why pay that much money for something so similar to a ride they already have? We don't we just get another wild mouse and put that next to Scooby Doo.
