I think making the outside area look like Metropolis Park would be fantastic.

Wet'n'Wild Sydney? But for how much longer? Pacific Fair followed in the footsteps of other AMP centers with paid parking and The Star in Sydney is paid and considering they on Jupiters (soon to be The Star) how much longer will it stay that way? Same goes for The Treasury in Brisbane, also set to become The Star.

It's man made anyway. I don't get this protect the ecosystem and environment stuff everyone goes on with. It's not natural, it wasn't there to begin with. I'm all for the 3 storey height limit from Marina Mirage on wards, but I think protect some bushland, make some parkland and develop the rest. The Spit is full of unsavoury things, especially in the bushland. I've long championed for SW to expand to the east across the road, I think it would be great if they did! More rides and more animal enclosures. Bring it on!

Lot's of wooden coasters are built near bushland or trees in other countries. Wonderland had 2 wooden coasters. It can be done. But seriously though RCDB a reliable source has stated its a sit-down steel coaster, why are we still debating if it might be wood and why we wouldn't or wouldn't like/be able to have one. -

There are 3 styles, but will they actually have them operating for the public? Like how Wipeout has something like 6 different cycle options with some being more extreme than others yet it only operates one of the cycles. -
Maybe they've got plans for more big refurbishments next year.

Speaking of, I love the TLC they're giving the parks so I don't want to sound like I'm whinging it's not good enough. But while I was at MW over the Christmas I really thought the bathrooms needed renovating badly. That's the one near the entry, behind the ice cream store, next to the dodgems and over at WWF.

Seeing as WB and Village Roadshow have close ties, that Village co-finances some of the WB films and coproduces and helps distribute them. WB don't even have a movie division here in Aus everything is done through Village. Based on that I don't think we'll see too many themes changing in the park. Although VRTP do have to pay WB to hold the theme park Licenses. Regarding the park changing its name, maybe but it has such heritage now, probably unlikely. It could just drop the Warner Bros. tag though, everyone just refers to it as Movie World. -
Haha yep. Just said Village Roadshow instead of VRTP because it's the movie division that signed the cofinancing deal with Sony Pictures, not the theme park division.
-
Damn VR meaning Virtual Reality. I meant Village Roadshow.
-
Not sure if this is for 2016 MW but maybe something we could see in the future? I was reading VR & Sony have signed a co-financing deal. You can see their name on Sony movies such as the new Ghostbusters film. I know they'd still need to buy the licensing for the attractions, but with this deal do you think in the future we could see rides with a theme from Sony Pictures like Ghostbusters?
-
Yep Sunrise and The Morning Show all discussed how they would need to take a serious look at what had malfunctioned and that this would be the end of the ride and that it should be time for it to close down after this.

^Sorry should have clarified and not quoted the whole thing. I know why DD has a dropping floor, I'd like to ride it and keep my legs. I meant SE with its 2 stations, if they wouldn't build it like that today, why when they originally built it think it was a good idea to have it set up that way. -

Do you know why they decided to do it that way to begin with? -
Topgolf attraction coming to the Gold Coast

Yeah it would be like Universal Studios announcing their new waterpark, having Universal attracted gets more attention than just a new water park coming to Universal. I'd be interested to see actually once a hotel gets built what they will end up calling it, Warner Bros. Resort, Movie World or leverage the VRTP name and call it Village Resort/Village Roadshow Resort. -
News stated this morning in the search that 4 gators had already found and destroyed.
-
That would probably be because Disney now owns Marvel & want to see Marvel attractions appearing in their parks in the future rather than a rivals.

I have a love/hate relationship with the roof. I love what it has allowed the park to do and what they can do with it/hang from the roof. However I much preferred the atmosphere the park had without it and all the massive trees that lined Main Street. I feel the same about the video screen. It allows people to see what's going on all over Main Street, but I don't like how you can no longer see the Daily Planet building properly. -
You should some photos of the shop windows with business names since all those name have something to do with the people who built the park like Menzies & C.V Wood.

Wow okay, I thought they would have used the bigger studios and the brand new one instead of their 2 smallest ones and their biggest one. -
To me it would be crazy not to have a big company like DW hooked up to some sort of system that recorded the ride for this very reason. The business we had worked on motion detection, every time it picked up movement it begun recording and after a about a week or a month (I can't remember) it wiped those files. That legal company though sounds more like its representing the idiot than DW. A quick read of their About on Facebook makes them sound more like ambulance chasers rather than a big firm that would represent DW.

I thought I'd heard people say Sound Stages 1 & 2 are too small these days for big budget productions like Thor?! -

^ seeing as the pic of that ride isn't an Intamin model, I'd agree. -
You know it's funny I don't get to the parks much so I didn't think I'd get audio on GL but of the 4 rides I've had on it, including one after its recent reopening I've had audio every time.

I found this really cool video of Space Mountain stopped with the emergency lights on and staff then coming around to release the brakes and push the trains to get them going again:
