Maybe the LW theme wasn't so outdated afterall. FOX has greenlit Warner Bros. to go ahead and produce a TV series. http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2016/05/fox-greenlights-lethal-weapon-exorcist-series.html

You don't dress up. The park is just full of performers as superheroes and a good chance to see superhero merch like those Batman & Superman capes. The park had a similar event years ago for DC comics birthday. -

Why couldn't they do a Superhero themed night since that's what most of their rides are now. Stunt show in the arena and a comic parade at the end of the night. -
^ I'd love to see it return to WnW next to the other Mammoth slide and enclose one of them with lights and music.

I don't think people are haters and against it. Just that from the beggining a lot of holes have been punched in this proposal, which makes a lot of people skeptical. If this put forward by VRTP you'd be more optimistic, but even they've had set backs, African Safari World anyone?! People have responded a lot better to the Wanda proposal and they haven't said anything concrete other than they'd like to build one. But that's because the credentials of that company stack up far better than this one.

I've long thought a merger would be a great thing, especially with a media company, much like Comcast & Disney. We already have Village into movie production and theme parks and until a few years ago a radio company with Austereo. I'd love to see some big entertainment/media company with the likes of TV company, radio company and theme park company together. If Village did that they could even extend their production into TV shows.

Movieworld, or rather Comic World?

I think Mad Max is a missing theme at the park. I'd like to see more LT rides return, the omnimover being one in part of the old river ride buildings. The other being a Rapids, because the park could really use another water ride and have it like the Popeye one at IOA. Finally another theme I'd like to see is Lampoon's Vaction, unfortunately the last movie bombed. But a stunt show (with more family appropriate humor) would be a nice change from HWSD. You can still have car stunts since its a car trip but I picture a return to PA like having a character like Rodney back. -

I know it seems to be launching at different speeds. But I don't think it just launches will my nilly with the same force each time and the weight determines how high up it goes. i think you'll find it weighs the car once loaded to determine how much force the magnets need to launch the pod up the tower. Same way Batwing and SE weigh themselves before launching. I mean the ride isn't a continuous circuit so it would be pretty irresponsible if it didn't ensuring it doesn't overshoot up the tower, although there are magnetic brakes at the top of the tower like at the end. -
Another question, I know it's in the video but it's always moving. How many cars are on Serpant's Fury and how many trains can be on the track? My other question is for both coasters. What kind of theming will they have. Will Serpant's Fury have a decked (theme wise) queue and station house? Or will it be a very nice generic looking station like Corckscrew? The spinning coaster I guess is just themed to a pier style coaster? Just much nicer then most pier coaster station houses! The other thing I'd love to see as a nod to the old Sea World is the disappearing UFO trick from BT back in some way on the shooting dark ride, just obviously not a UFO.

Pretty sure they're all Sony artists. -
Well going off council it seems you can get past the 3 stores limit if council signs off on it being okay. Considering the coaster and any other ride plans for the park aren't full on building but only rise up here and there I don't know why the council would have an issue. Joz I also love the nod to Corkscrew in Serpant's Furt with the corkscrew over the monorail.

THIS is perfect, it reclaims some of what SW has lost, but adds it back with a twist. I've always wanted SW to get a spinning coaster since Gazza posted his design a few years back. Also their new function area would be able to be even bigger with the arcade presumably moving out. You said there's potential for new flat rides. Two flat rides I've always wanted to see at SW is an S&S Screamin' Swing because I've always thought of it more as a Family thrill and would give a good sensation. Plus a drop tower because it would give such a good view of the area, but with a twist, something like Falcon's Fury so it has a point of difference. A nighttime spectacular would be great as well, something like World Of Colour or the Bellagio Fountain. Obviously lowering them during the day for the show is the only obstacle. One thing I've always wondered if anyone can answer this for me, with the reclaimed land in the lake is the potential for a return of the ski show ever possible?

I was just thinking with transport to the parks. The last time I was up on the GC I used light rail, which if you're a tourist getting from Broadbeach to Surfers is great! I know they're about to start a line to Helensvale train station and currently looking at plans going South, eventually making its way to the airport. I think it would be great if there was a spur line to Sea World and then taking the line from Helensvale past Wet'n'Wild, Movie World, Dreamworld and finishing up at Coomera station. Especially if they're planning on building the entertainment precinct, plus the huge shopping Centre next to Dreamworld and the train station. These parks are massive and surely would ease traffic and be more attractive to tourists then buses and if the network is right even hire cars. Maybe even taking it through Hope Island/Pacific Pines/Oxenford and Coomera since these are massive suburbs or rapidly growing suburbs.

If a reputable source like RCDB can say it's an extreme sit down STEEL coaster, why are we still having this debate? -
But wait Push what did the email say? We haven't even seen the wording, that you say alludes to the removal of it.

I do like the Panic Clock ride Richard talked about in his article, only because it was built by Vekoma and if you look it up on YouTube it has that distinct Wipeout sound from the motors. -

Yep, a brand can sell off movie rights and theme park rights seperately. Just because the production company uses the brand in their film, doesn't give them the rights to use it in their theme park. Lego, The Simpsons & Harry Potter being the best examples, and until recently Star Wars & Marvel. (Although Marvel attractions still exist in universal parks, even though they're now owned by Disney.) -

^ Most of MW's ride theoretically have a high capacity. But stupid loading procedures negates this. So expect the ride to a mediocre capacity... -
What do you think is the best dark ride in Australia?
Original replied to Bailz's topic in Theme Park Discussion
1. Bermuda Triangle 2. Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster 3. Batman Adventure (the first, I still enjoyed the second though) 3. Looney Tunes River Ride 4. Gremlins Adventure 5. The indoor part on Superman Escape 6. Justice League (If the cars had movement and the staff really revved you up to get on board, and a bigger finale it would easily be number one) 7. Indoor part on Storm Coaster (Whatever happened to the fire that was suppose to be installed? Did they end up connecting the gas line?) 8. Indoor part on Wild West Falls 9. Big Red Car (Yes I did it once ) 10. Indoor section on the Rapids 11. Eureka Mine Ride -

I thought BT, LT, BA & Gremlins only used ride ops on the ride. They were just very well trained and knew their scripts and were personable. Same with how at the 4D cinema they're just ride ops that know a script. This way you could move them onto other rides, plus I always thought the ride ops would earn less than those in entertainment. Am I wrong? -

This is coming from the guy who hates VRTP's SW which is MW's sister park. Also The Bulletin goes to print at about midnight for this morning papers and the site updates with the new days stories that will be featured in the paper for today at about 1am. Seeing as it's not on today's websites it's not in today's paper because this would be a massive story for them. It also won't go up later, why not put it in the paper if you had the story before you went to print but just stick it on the website later today and what paper tomorrow? Yeah I call BS.
