WHOA, talk about picking on a certain person if I may say so myself... It seems to me, that Dreamworld must be below standards of parks about this site located elsewhere around the world, either that, or this person is comparing this theme park to much bigger places and places with a lot more money (such as SFMM). They also didnt really point out too many of the good points in the park. And another thing, this person was from Germany, that explains everything really, they got heaps cool staff working over there. Oh, and another thing, why did they point out that the two people working on TOT were teens, whats the problem with that?

Im real sorry to bring back an old topic, but if I may ask, why didnt you ride Mantis, Mean Streak and the Wicked twister, didnt you get time or have you ridden similar rides before and couldnt really be bothered?
-
that was a mediocre video, but the main problem was that it was a streaming video, adn I couldnt be bothered to do it the other way.
-
Well I didnt know about it so it's, er, good to know I guess.

Why does Queensland have the main theme parks
Nebuchanezzar replied to brady's topic in Theme Park Discussion
pffft, Walt Disney was such a jerk, although he started the theme park industry so, well, I dunno back to the point of this thread, why are they at the gold coast? well thats been explained, but surely there can be some good theme parks in Sydney as well? If Six Flags, Knotts, Universal, Disney and probably a couple more theme parks can flourish around Los Angeles, then surely one kick-butt theme park can survive around Sydney? location isnt important, seeing as Dreamworld can survive very nicely and its quite the way inland. As said before, the only reason why theme parks havnt survived around Sydney recently is because they sucked. Wonderland use to be ok, up until about a year or two after the Space Probe was built if you ask me, thats when it started to turn ugly, if a new roller coaster or kick-ass attraction was built shortly after this, Wonderland would have continued to flourish, unfortunately, it didnt. -
Yeah, your right about that last one definatly, when I was riding the UFO at Luna Park, the peoples in the queue kept on asking question to him, you could tell he ws peeved off, but, you know, he couldnt be mean to em...

They should put it, um, somewhere near the main entrance parlour, that'd be sweet. Id like to see a bit of memorabilia for the good ol Thunderbolt.
-
WOOOOOOO, The Claw is working, of course it wont be hardly as spectacular as Durkins beloved Claw, but Im sure it'll look cool anyway.
-
I dunno about that last one there about Batman, It is normal to feel a bit dissorientated once you get off that ride, and you never know, perhaps they were reffering to the rides exits or summat. I dunno, that last one sounded a bit iffy

so if an umbrella wont do the trick, what will?

There is a ride at Paramount, um, I forget which one of their parks, but I was watching a special on fox, and they showed the right at a full 180 degrees. I dunno what version of the ride it is, I dont care much for the world of flat rides that much
-
well I actually got the idea from when I was a member of that theme park insider thingo, they had a biggish forum idea about it and the majority of people seemed to look as if they beleived it should have been removed (this was staright after that woman died, it might be of interest to know). and hey, if I went to USA, I would pass up the opportunity to ride such a great ride, I was just asking some people that have ridden it what their opinions were, so easy you go there tiger, easy buddy.

whoa! this is a disaster, Oblivion looks like a pretty sweet ride. Regardless, if it can happen to a roller coaster near a middle of a CBD (Big Dipper @ Luna Park) Im sure it can happen to poor ol Oblivion, it would be crap if it did go though.
-
Well, I say that the helix should be taken out, if its too intense, is it more intense then, um, say, the gravitron, cause for some reason this year at the Easter show, that ride was very very intense...
-
wait a second, I dont get it, is this to say that the Space Probe was hazardous when it was operating?
-
lol, it was actually a nice photo except for the botchy job when the Enterprise wheel went through the Wipeout but cool none the less
-
I cant remember too many quotes, but the one that stuck out for me was at Luna Park I was riding the UFO by myself and a bunch of crazed citizens hoped on the ride *to me*-"Have you been on the Tango? Its the fastest ride in the world" me-"Im sure it is" "It is" and what annoys me a lot is when people get all excited when seeing a ride and saying "There is no way Im going on that" when it is blatantly obvious that they will go on it anyway, if they are on their way to the queue

TV alert: Theme parks on great outdoors.
Nebuchanezzar replied to Gazza's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Indeed, I watched it and was totally let down, it seems that the only theme parks worth mentioning in the USA are Disney, and Universal parks, although as said, there was a bit of Seaworld. Surely they could have at least mentioned Knotts? Perhaps the network channels should get their hands on some of them nice thrill rides specials that Fox has... -
lol, there was a friendly English fella who did that to us at Dreamworld when we rode the Cyclone, he said 'Have fun! *and then in a very low but very noticeable voice* god I hating operating this ride, especially after the accident, woops, anyway, ENJOY YOUR RIDE!' anyway, Im digressing, Wonderland was cool.
-
No idea, but if you really wanna find out, you can go to www.howstuffworks.com and look in the how roller coasters work section, and in there, there should be a G-Force formula. Enter in all the variables, and theres your answer!

Its first drop is great, but nothing different from just about every B&M sitdown/standup/floorless. I couldn't care less about every inversion but the zero-g-roll, which is truly the best inversion ever created. Thanks to Busch's renowned high-capacity and low (relative to Orlando) attendance, the ride is a walkon for any seat but the front pretty much all day. It just came off like you were saying that it was nothing special, which I doubt cause it looks pretty spiffy and is a B&M, However I;ve never been on a B&M, so I cant compare and some pics would be cool lol! anyway, my apologies to you sir.

Sorry to bring up an old topic again, but I thought you were a bit harsh on poor old Kumba, looks like a kick-ass ride to me.
-
It rained last night and today, but regardless, Im taking it that Daniel worked at Wonderland, tell me, were you one of those cool attendants or one of those boring ones, cause there was this one guy who really annoyed me and kept walking past me all day. Anyway, I propose that they plant some nice big trees (can you plant Morton Bay Figs) at Luna Park and wait for them to grow, perhaps that'd be cool.
-
lol, was Deja Vu running, how about Riddlers, they are the rides Im most interested in at SFMM, and X, but everyone knows everything about X already I guess. and did you get a chance to go to Cedar Point?
-
okey dokey, thats cool, and I was talking about the layout and condition of the SFMM park, not the coaster, I meant as in it was poorly looked after, garbage everywhere, no themeing (actually I know theres little themeing, so dont bother with that one), you know?
