  1. Just a little bit mate... To be fair the site has recently been redone so that all of the games feature a system to record high scores.
  2. Pinksmile I hope you don't mind me asking, but can you please post these photos all at once rather than bumping the topic every few days with photos from the same day a couple of years ago? It would be greatly appreciated.
  3. This site was mentioned a while ago in another thread. Tower of Terror is my favourite.
  4. ^ If everyone thought "who cares if it's winter, the sun is relatively warm and the water is heated, lets go to a water park" then I'm sure we'd have a different case on our hands. When I was at WWW last August rides on the same tower had only one staff member operating them in winter (eg BRO and RIP operator the same dashing between rides when required). It wouldn't be sustainable for a park to have a small number of guests and then employ more staff to man a lazy river that would only have a couple of people in it. WNW follow this plan so I don't see why the smaller WWW wouldn't.
  5. ^ I doubt that they would operate it any differently. I went to WWW last winter about three times. Have a look at my photo to see how packed it is... Photo Link
  6. Firstly in your original post you are quoting a comment 3 years old... so it is possible that things have changed. Yes it has moved. I'm sure if you had read the Dreamworlds Direction or Stage 3 is go go go you would have known this.
  7. It's either Quantum Field Theory or this. I think either a Mega Lite or something similar to would be great.
  8. That's the same with me. I'm not too keen on any of the mobile / travelling style of rides. Here's a partial image of the ferris wheel from the Gold Coast Bulletin article
  9. Really? I had a Platinum Pass which expired last November and I never noticed it in any of my visits...
  10. What? When did WWW get an Eagle Boys? If WWW got one DW would have one too right? That would make MW the only theme park without a pizza franchise. How long has Dreamworld spent organising this show - not very long. Disney's California Adventure is taking months to complete the programming and testing of their World of Colour show (about a year to construct). The way I expected Illuminate to turn out was a smaller World of Colour but just as impressive. It sounds as though the storyline is lacking because it is based around SpongeBob. All we can do is hope that...
  11. ^ That looks a lot faster than what I thought it was going to be when I looked at the stats. But with the Wet'n'Wild's Aqua Loops going 15km/h faster, the Wedgie is still a relatively slow ride. Thanks for the videos Gazza.
  12. So he hasn't been on the BRO... The Wedgie The Bro I must admit the key to the Wedgie is acceleration, it reaches it's top speed in 2 seconds. Edit:I just noticed Wet'n'Wild's Aqua Loop will reach 60km/h (see their website)
  13. Is it just me or was anyone expecting the first drop to be a bit bigger? It does still appear to be a good ride though. From the photo, it appears that a new section has been added to the Green Room's platform to accommodate the ride and since there are no new stairs it is safe to assume the Wedgie will share the Green Room's stairs. This article appeared in the Bulletin this morning:
  14. I noticed that too. I'm sure WhiteWater World is annoyed that Wet'n'Wild is getting publicity for it's own new ride. I only saw the 8am segment but did he actually go on the Wedgie earlier in the morning?
  15. Some more information has been released about Illuminate. Dreamworld will be open until 7pm over the school holidays with some rides and upcharges operating. http://www.dreamworld.com.au/Attractions/I...e-Itinerary.jpg
  16. From memory the on ride camera is located on the helix just before the brake run. Edit: If you have a look at this video I think you can see it in the background at or closer up just after
  17. Rumour over on Theme Park Review is that a seat from the Cylon (inverted) side fell off during testing! I would call this a little more than a technical glitch. You can read the discussion here. If this is true I'm sure both Vekoma and USS are relieved that it happened during testing and not during operating hours.
  18. Yep, I was there on the media day / annual pass preview day (3 days before the park opened). It was the one and only day that I have seen them use a helicopter for a rescue; and the only day I have seen enough tubes for everyone in the Cave of Waves. I'm sure if these videos actually had content new to us on the forums we might like it more - but because we've already seen the development application etc the videos aren't interesting. Regardless, the entertainment value is pretty bad.
  19. I saw the new show a month ago. I thought it was really good. For those who have seen the old show it is structured in a similar format with a middle scene featuring the Heroes of the Light Horse. Pretty much everything that was in the old show has been incorporated into the new show.
  20. Dreamworld has started broadcasting a new series of videos titled the Dreamworld Insider via their Facebook and YouTube accounts. The videos' sole purpose is to advertise and promote their latest rides. Videos have been released on Illuminate and the Wedgie but don't include any new information. I've included 3 videos in my post. The first two from YouTube and the third from Facebook (because it isn't on YouTube yet). Dreamworld Insider's introductory video; Illuminate; Wedgie.
