  1. The aforementioned thread at Westcoaster. According to the commercial below tickets were limited. The footage from the commercial seems recycled from last year's commercial with new information about the Saw maze and Freddy's maze.
  2. The commercials were released online five days ago (There are heaps of variations at WNW's video page). The second video has some general footage of the attraction.
  3. The commercial was released online two days ago. The second video has some shots of the attractions and a clip from the press event.
  4. Some news from a couple of weeks ago about the fate of half of Adrenalin Park. They've started carefully dismantling the attractions this week. I wonder if the parachute drop would operate at their new location if they throw a bit of money at it to get it back up and running. I don't think the parachute drop operated since it was moved from Wonderland (before that it was located at Magic Mountain).
  5. ^ That would be the most sensible location. It would have set a bad image if they were allowed to have it at Tiger Island. A lot of the comments on the article congratulate Dreamworld for doing what they did - but one seems to be from the gun company...
  6. ^ That entrance looks pretty cool. I'm sure there'd be a few slightly confused guests during the day though. More pictures from Jordan.
  7. Direct Link Universal has had Saw, Nightmare on Elm Street and Psycho mazes for years (have a look at the history section on Halloween Horror Nights' Wikipedia page). Lynton V. Harris of Sudden Impact! Entertainment works with companies like Universal to develop scare attractions based on their movies.
  8. Thanks for the videos happychap. After watching all three I am sick to death of listening to that scream that they keep repeating.
  9. Here's some bare track layouts without themeing: Superman Escape Road Runner / Looney Tunes River Ride / Lethal Weapon Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster Satellite Imagery from July
  10. I know I'm not a mod, but when submitting photos try not to have typos and grammatical errors when adding descriptions. I would think correct tagging would also be good (tag it with AquaLoop not Aqua Racer).
  11. There is a whole swag of video tutorials on their website: http://sketchup.google.com/training/videos.html
  12. Just a bit of an update. Over the weekend, pretty much every bus stop has had its advertising replaced with that for the VIP pass and one of their new attractions.
  13. I'll start by saying I have no relation to any of the parks - this is pure uninformed speculation. About five years ago Warner Bros. Movie World Germany went through a major transformation to become Movie Park Germany. As part of this expansion several rides were rethemed. The Looney Tunes River Ride was transformed into the Ice Age Adventure. I'm thinking that it could be possible, that our local Looney Tunes River Ride could be rethemed into Ice Age and opened in time for the fourth movie (Ice Age: Continental Drift) due for release in mid-2012. I would hardly think that they would replace the whole ride system to build another ride when it is functioning well. My bet is that it will be similar to how Sea World rethemed Lassiter's Lost Mine into Bermuda Triangle.
  14. ^ I'm pretty sure The Plunge and the kids pool will remain to be part of Sea World Resort. It looks that way on the latest map (http://seaworld.myfun.com.au/Park-Info/Interactive-Map.htm).
  15. ^ It's strange. About a week ago every almost every bus stop here on the Gold Coast was fitted out with at least one WVTP advertisement for their attractions. However the advertised attractions were launched in 2008 - Kamikaze, Jet Rescue and Hollywood Stunt Driver. As for television advertising, I haven't seen any commercials. I think Gazza said in the early stages of construction of the AquaLoops that they should milk them for all their worth: "Can you do the loop?"... was it? Back to Castaway Bay, the Nine Gold Coast News report last Friday briefly mentioned the area with a quick look from a helicopter of a few kids running around Sky Fortress. The story also featured footage from inside the parks for the AquaLoops and TOTII so why not Castaway Bay? Despite saying all of this I would be pleasantly surprised if they pumped adverts for all of their attractions a little later in the year when MW's Christmas event is on as well as other attractions open: Zip line, FlowRider and Antarctic Penguins.
  16. Despite the rain there were a lot of people jumping on the theme park buses today. A full bus (and I mean absolutely full, basically with people squished to the front windscreen) had to drive past probably close to about 50 families in the Surfers area. I see these buses almost every day and I have never seen them that busy before - especially when it's raining. As for the forecast, more rain for the next four days.
  17. Or they could do it like Universal Studios Hollywood and just rig up a tarp to go over the maze:
  18. ^ What's wrong with what happychap said. It has been made publicly available on their Facebook page. In fact the second paragraph of happychap's post is copied directly from there. These two new locations sound like they'd possibly have a bit more room than what the mazes have had before. Sounds good.
  19. What was wrong with this thread? http://www.parkz.com.au/forums/index.php?showtopic=5388
  20. This thread might help: Eureka Layout
  21. Just in case anyone is interested: Jamberoo unveils $20 million investment plan (2006)
  22. Wow! It must have been empty. Was the FlowRider or Zip Line open?
  23. ^ Surely you could have looked it up yourself: Normally things don't close for "maintenance until further notice" or "until To Be Advised" (does that even make sense ) without a reason. If it was scheduled it wouldn't be down in the holidays. I remember hearing Dora had some problem that required the whole ride to be replaced for cheaper than the repair. Also The BRO is down to get its speed "increased". Everything else on the website is down for maintenance for a scheduled period of time outside school holidays. My bet is that it is closed due to some fault or problem only just identified. If they shut down Gold Rush Country that might be the telling sign that something bigger is going to happen though.
  24. The concept art is actually artists impressions of other places. For example one of them is Mammoth Falls with a Whizzard in the background. Another is similar to this photo.
