WVTP Changes
What are the chances that SW have implemented something similar? It's another bad move by WVTP. Very disappointing...

Batman: The Ride
^ Sorry, I missed that. I tried embedding it but it didn't work so here is the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89zFt23AARU. If you don't speak German it must have taken you forever to translate it. Good job none the less.

Batman: The Ride
Thanks for the video Spencer but I've already posted it above.

Universal Studios Singapore
These tours allow entry into the park to view the scenery and buy merchandise and food. No rides will be operating. With sellout crowds I'm sure there will be some new photos surface within the next day or two. I think the whole concept of the park is really good - take the best of Universal Studios in the US and put them together in a park much like IOA. No details for the Cylon Raider (Blue, suspended) but the Human Viper Mark II (Red, seated) has a top speed of 90km/hr. For those that haven't seen it check out their new website which has loads of information about their rides, shows and attractions.

SeaWorld recreating
^^ About a year ago, I worked on a recreation of SW (in RCT2) that I never got finished. I've just spent over 45mins trying to find it on old backup discs with no luck . I'd be willing to help out if you were to do it in RCT2.

Theme Park Review's Trips Announcements!
I'm curious as to whether "and more" included WhiteWater World and if one of their included meals will be at AOS. Other than that they pretty much have everything covered.

The Off Topic Topic
I've recently returned from a trip to New Zealand and while I was there I visited this small adventure park called Waimarino. Is it just me or does anyone else think that some health and safety officials should check out their latest attraction - The Blob?

Dreamworlds Direction
^ Please not another upcharge. Edit: Let alone a second rock climbing wall. A new ride is required.

MW Attraction maintenance 2010
^ is that Movie Vorld?

MW Attraction maintenance 2010
All the maintenance pages have been updated to what it should look like. I'm much happier now because no rides are shut when I'm visiting. Because this topic has really branched off from just MW maintenance, maybe a title change is needed.

MW Attraction maintenance 2010
Seen as someone has already brought up Sea World, I thought I would have a look at Wet'n'Wild. Is the aqua racer being rebuilt from the ground up? 5 Months maintenance is pretty extreme. Looking at the maintenance schedule for Twister and Speedcoaster it doesn't sound like they are being removed. Is it possible that the Aqua racer could be moved elsewhere and the aqualoops be placed there instead of removing rides? These maintenance schedules really annoy me because our family was going to visit the parks in early March and all the coasters at SW are closed plus two rides at MW. Just glad I'm not going between May 3rd and May 16th 3/4 of MW's coasters are closed.

The Off Topic Topic
I was just wondering if anyone knows how late Movie World was open over the summer holidays? This video seems to be taken at least after 6:30pm. This video was uploaded on the 9th.

movie world parade
I'm looking forward to these photos. You've got less that 7 hours to do it though. . If you have a lot of photos you could maybe consider getting a negative scanner cheap. I've got one that works good on XP but not Vista / 7 . The other photos I've posted above have been transferred using it to give you an idea of the quality.

LW CLOSED
I just hope they don't do the same thing that they have done with the Corkscrew / Sea Viper. Movie World needs a new ride, not a new ride experience.

WnW 2010: Aqua Loop, Flowrider, Zipline, Skycoaster
There appears to be no difference design wise just the tubing that each utilise. The Tantrum features 2 or 4 person cloverleaf tubes while the Topsy Turvy features the more traditional inline style of tubing (Temple of Huey). Other than that nothing seems to be different. I remember a couple of years ago Gazza uploaded a concept of an 'Insane H2O Zone' (a Giant Rainfortress with a couple of other rides intertwining) - unfortunately I can't find it in the forums. ProSlide appears to be offering something similar called a Ridehouse. I would love to see Gazza's concept or a Ridehouse added to the park some stage in the not too distant future as both would have a very high capacity.

LW CLOSED
Just rumours but have a look at this from Theme Park Photography: MW's Lethal Weapon Ride to be Closed. If it is closed what do you guys think should go in it's place? Another ear bashing Vekoma, a B&M, Intamin?

movie world parade
I remember the parade being entertaining up until about 2005. Since then it has gone downhill. I had a quick look here (screenshot below) and a lot of the floats from 2000 onwards are still there. As you pointed out there's the castle, film roll, Mr Freeze's float, the Scooby Scene, Train with cage trailer and two unidentified floats. I've attached a couple of photos from previous parades. The last photo was of part of the original Studio Tour / Special Effects Show and was definitely taken before 2005 when SE was built. I think I saw the Riddler scene sometime around 2000.

WnW 2010: Aqua Loop, Flowrider, Zipline, Skycoaster
WNW have started advertising on their website but its not quite like what you had hoped for Gazza. They still don't mention an opening date or location. http://wetnwild.myfun.com.au/Park-Info/New...-UP-IN-2010.htm

Best Roller Coaster Poll 2009
^ Sorry I missed your post Gazza. According to the favourites section in this text file, the Volare is located at a park called 'Wiener Prater'. I'd never heard of it but I thought I'd include it as it says AU in the country column and it could be in Australia. After checking the parks name on RCDB the park is in Austria and should be marked with AT instead of AU. I've sent an email to Mitch to see if he would fix it ready for next year.

Best Roller Coaster Poll 2009
The results for the 2009 Best Roller Coaster Poll are in. This is how our coasters were ranked. Full results can be found here for steel coasters and here for wood coasters. 149 Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster 197 Surf Rider* 216 Tower of Terror 249 Turbo Mountain* 257 Eureka Mountain Mine Ride* (Believe it or not it is still included) 315 Corkscrew / Sea Viper 319 Silly Serpent* 329 Cyclone 337 Metropolis* 343 Rugrats Runaway Reptar* 346 Lethal Weapon - The Ride* 358 Diamond Python**based on grouped rankings Both Mick Doohans Motocoaster & Superman Escape appeared in a section titled "Winning percentages of those coasters on fewer than 10 ballots" and were not given a rank. This is understandable for MDMC, but for SE? I had a look at the ballot and Jet Rescue was not included this year. It was however mentioned as a late entry and will be included in the 2010 ballots. It had "too few riders take the poll to have any valid comparisons this year". Outside Australia, the number one steel coaster was and the number one wood coaster was http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQfTykPAQFs. Edit: Removed Volare

Dreamworlds Direction
^ I think BB used them in the first year of the friday night games (2004-05 i think). Unless the segways used on BB were hired, I think you might be right about DW acquiring them. There would of been at least two of them for BB.

Sea World ski stars sunk by pirates
The show opened on Boxing Day (correct me if I am wrong). I'm thinking they may not be advertising it because it may still be below a satisfactory standard. They may have opened the show for the holidays just to soak the crowds and it may require more work later. The show has a page on Sea World's website but it is not on Sea World's home page alongside the Sea Viper.
