  1. Certainly not, Bermuda holds a special place in my heart as one of my favourite rides of all time. When he was new he did startle me once on the way to the bathroom however.... What memorabilia do you own @Slick?
  2. Holy thread resurrection batman! Thought I would share my latest acquisition (Bermuda Shot Glass) along with some other theme park shot glasses and my Bermuda Alien.
  3. @Slick I have the page bookmarked and it led to a 404 earlier today but I should have tried it again before posting, fair point. I do not think this proves the ride is not open however, for awhile that page stated TI shows were at 3:00PM and considering the circumstances I would not be surprised if it simply was not updated yet.
  4. Worth noting that the "whats open" page on Dreamworld.com.au was removed yesterday. Wouldn't surprise me to see them announce it tomorrow or perhaps not at all as it is less than a week before it closes for maintenance.
  5. ^ I would agree, and I personally think Imagine was a better show than Affinity.
  6. @themagician Sorry wasn't clear, I knew it was testing I meant in terms of it being open before maintenance but testing is obviously a great sign. @Aimsley81 That matches what I heard
  7. I am hoping given it's location this new outlet is open until park close. After 2:00PM in off peak Dough Bros is often all that is open.
  8. A ride op did tell me that will be the case the other day, as is the general rule I shall believe it when I see it.
  9. Great to see minor works and refurbishments to keep the parks looking their best. New additions Also the full list for MW appears to be listed now too.
  10. I cannot agree with this more, despite identifying an issue with the Lego movie and piracy being linked with the films later release in Australia they are doing the same with Lego Batman. Having visited WNWS recently I was shocked to find no water fountains, something very simple and I'm sure something feedback would have been provided on early on, as a whole VRTP are not receptive to feedback. Regarding Dreamworld I feel the same, as someone else mentioned on the forums it would have been great to see someone from VRTP at the reopening in a official capacity. This isn't new though, when the "Australia's Theme Park Capital" campign happend Dreamworld showed the posters prominently and staff wore badges. This was not the case at VRTP and I think I saw one single poster at MW. I heard from an unreliable source that senior VRTP staff did visit Dreamworld quietly during their extended trade to see the expanded entertainment. If true I hope they observed the difference in operations and took some lessons back.
  11. ^ Ticket prices at Dreamworld have remained lower due to low numbers moreso than rides not operating. The original plan was apparently for prices to rise closer to normal once the Big 9 were up. Ride Express has also just started being offered again. It's hard to offer advice without knowing your exact interests, I recommend visiting DW for an all round experience especially if you are time poor, if you have the time I would recommend MW and SW too with the understanding SW is currently operating with one adult ride, MW is still home to the best coasters. I would highly recommend visiting AOS too, cheapest tickets are on Groupon last I checked.
  12. Worth noting you can also view the following page online with all the offers and links. https://themeparks.com.au/box-office/memberships/benefits.aspx
  13. Fairly sure it is used for tour groups (generally international) not the Sunset Safari's. Did Sunset Safari in Sep and Jan and did not utilise the area for either tour.
  14. I think it is interesting to note how in recent times Sea World has gone from Shows/Showtimes to Presentation, makes sense with all the animal activists ect. Looking forward to hopefully catching this soon.
  15. My point was it's always good to provide a source, as yourself and others raised here. Or perhaps I noted it because I think things should be proofread before being posted publicly and that VRTP's attention to detail is lacking sometimes. It's amazing how quickly misinformation can spread, I have certainly had a rocky relationship with VRTP as of late, does not mean I have been or am currently banned, I was at WNWS on Saturday and MW yesterday. Nor does it mean I paint everyone with the same brush. VRTP have some great people and issues with a few do not tarnish my experience across all brands/properties as a whole. Lets get back on topic shall we...
  16. The page above was copy/pasted from is http://wetnwild.com.au/events/Island-life.aspx 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th of Feb are the dates, worth noting that VRTP apparently cannot spell "Dominos Pizza".
  17. Yes, I made a false assumption there based on the Jelly Belly advertising.... But the rest of the post was accurate
  18. Handheld pass/ticket scanners are used to verify entry to DW from Lego. Lego has 3 entrances and exits, front gate, park (next to Kodak) and yet to open the new "marketplace". Marketplace also has its own exit and will link into Main St Emporium and next to Kodak.
  19. Doomsday is the big one, still undergoing test cycles/closed to guests. Out of MW's control somewhat though. Suprised the media haven't jumped on that and Scooby
  20. The food was the biggest dissapointment of Carnivale this year for me, the majority of performers were great. As others have said the event should have been Free of Charge with General Admission to begin with, they actually are handing out tickets to guests exiting the park and resort guests are also free to enter. Also interesting to note is the walk up adult price is $15 rather than the $20 for prepurchases from the website.
  21. Press release.... some further details on what will be stocked.
  22. ^ I doubt it if they report "facts" and speculate. The ride is "stuck" or stopped with passengers on board. I think it's horrible how the parks continue to be attacked by the media these everyday stops. Arkham is obviously a rarer occurrence with a lift hill issue. I received an email from the Daily Mail requesting to use my footage as part of a video on the "Arkham accident", said no. ABC just used it and credited YouTube ? I also feel VRTP give too much access to the media when they consistently report on issues like this.
