  1. They were at Taronga Zoo last summer holidays.
  2. So having not ridden Cyclone or Lethal in either iteration (4pm and line was too long last i went). If we were to rate the Scenic Railway at LPM a 5, where do both iterations of the rides sit on the scale? I honestly have no clue how someone can freely stand on something that rough.
  3. Get him going on the 2004 TMNT series. One of the best.
  4. Actually, there's currently a Fuck-Tonne of road works happening on Richmond Rd to make it less shit. There's the Ikea for starters which caused this, followed by the Costco opening in a few months. And not too far down the road is what i believe will either be housing or a Stockland. I no longer work in Penrith so i cant answer that part. But with the recent work done Richmond Road's no longer shit until you actually get closer to Windsor. Once you hit John Moroney and the roundabout is where it goes to hell now (and as usual). I no longer put the road in the same category as Parramatta Road, infact id say there's more traffic on a Saturday in the Hills Shire compared to the entirety of Richmond Rd.
  5. Not sure if someones already done this (you filled 4 pages with posts in 10 hours) but what if the villians posted in the announcement was a lead onto future attractions? Theres Grodd whose currently appearing in Flash Same with Captain Cold ( and Heatwave) Youve got Killer Croc, Harley , and the Joker appearing in Suicide Squad Lex in BvS Sinestro who appeared in Green Lantern Plus Scarecrow whose been at the centre of the Arkham games and batman begins. So unless theyre using currently appearing characters for marketing (doesnt explain the 2 i missed seeing as i cant remember their names) maybe its a hint at whats to come? The area could get a Scarecrow makeover for HFN.
  6. It was actually Half'n'Half. IE. the rolling rig scene was actually filmed out in Penrith.
  7. Could you even go inside those buildings? Like was there ever a reason in the past say 5 years to go down there?
  8. I had the same idea as Gazza for my Yr 12 Design & Tech major back in 2011. You entered the park which was in the shape of Australia (and gurt by river) by a scale model of the Sydney Harbour Bridge into Adelaide. Adelaide was just the entrance so like the real Adelaide it contained absolutely fuck all. WA- Dreamtime Coaster, a B&M Wingrider. You entered into the queue which took you underground into a long cavern like area with numerous Dreamtime stories drawn into the rocks which then illuminate sequentially to tell the respective story. As you leave the station you come up back through the ground to the top of the hill which passes over a path. Then you go down vertically and into a giant Bunyips mouth which sits directly next to the path so guests can get as close to this thing as they can oblivion. next up you swing out of the Bunyip and do numerous barrel rolls and whatnot then slow right down to a crawl and go into a half loop to corkscrew. Then you descend down towards a lake and into the rainbow serpents mouth. As you weave through him, attachments on the wings may cause water to splash up behind you. as you leave you go up a crevasse with water running down it into a loop with a Yowie hanging off. After the loop is a very long brake run designed to tell the story of the Yara-ma-yha-who. Then you do a turn and end up back in the station. There was also an Aquarium designed for this section due to Shark Bay and Ningaloo reef both being in WA. NT- Burramudgee was the kids and family area of the park. Themed to the town of Burramudgee from the game Ty The Tasmanian Tiger 2. This area (which i put the most amount of thought into) had a kids Suspended coaster themed to the Bush Rescue Dropship, a raft ride themed to the rainforest from the 1st game, several kids encounter areas , a playground, many shops relating with accuracy to what they sold in game (boomerangs, personalized Bunyip keys etc.) a foam ball pay pit , a bumper boat section themed to the croc filled sewers and a 4D cinema with individual ride vehicles themed around Shazzas "fourbee" Darwin to Cairns is the stretch of the park that houses the land animals. Cairns- a waterpark that off the top of my head had a tornado where the actual tornado part looked like a didjeridoo and as such the funnel where you came out featured a longer tube going up to make the ride look like an actual didge. And it also featured a didge playing, something that could possibly be heard throughout the entire section. This also had a Flowrider barrel that when you fell off ended in a small-medium slide like in dubai i believe. And more recently i thought it would be a good idea to incorporate slideboarding. This goes right around the park, and features effects that can be activated both on and off ride from the board itself. Rest of QLD- a ToT tower Themed to the Dreamtime with the same effects as used in the coasters queue, NSW/ACT- Race of Arms Launched Coaster of some form designed to poke fun at the notion we all get around on roos and emus. Flagfall (Gazza you may remember this), a giant freefall tower with our flag at the top, Mt Panorama, themed (and shaped) to be the racetrack with cars as the coasters cars like the Italian Job ride. VIC- Shootout at Glenrowan- a laser tag themed to the last stand and steeplechase coaster themed to Ned. There was also an El Loco themed to a mine (i had to 1-up a wild mouse) and a flume ride somehow themed to the snowy river hydro scheme with the ending being a splashdown from a "snowy mountain". And while it doesn't quite match being out of the section but matches this section, Fluffys Fjord a spinning ride like Avalanche inside the Snowy Mountain themed to the Fluffys Fjord level of Ty. TAS- reserved for Halloween events That's all i can remember but i also had idea that either i couldn't shoehorn in or i had thought of since like : Ettamogah Pub Mad max dark ride Uluru being the main eatery section and an entire area themed to AC ⚡ DC plus others i cant remember.
  9. Well that suits the DC faction of the park. If memory serves me right in Batman #0 (Court of Owls) the circus was how the court found every Talon. #CourtOfOwlsRideConfirmed2K16
  10. The rollercoaster part seems......... off. The footage i've seen so far is like a 90's educational video and makes LPM's Holodeck look HD. The VRC's have the right idea, but the parks don't quite seem to. Plus nothing beats good old physical theming. A Mockrock boulder will always look better than a CGI one made by the work experience kid at Dreamworld. Plus there's also the factor of how lazy our parks are/can be when i comes to updating things or fixing them.(i.e. dead pixels or an out of sync video).
  11. Do you want ants or wasps? I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy.......
  12. If you want to see VR that will really blow you away, look into StarVR. 210 degree field of view compared to the 100 presented by Oculus, Samsung/Oculus, HTC, Valve, and Sony.
  13. Well going off what i saw when i rode in march on WWF, the Peppers Ghost needs an update (new glass, HD remaster or refilming and the projector needs more pixels), back half of the mountain after the first drop needs a repaint, the trough needed more colour somehow. Fuck it, repaint the entire thing, bring back fire, and make the shop/exit bigger.
  14. If they're going for a Vivid-Esq environment for the projections, they could have gone a step further in implemented a relatively inexpensive anaglyph video set up and charged say $2 for the glasses which would have costed them no more than 20c each to buy AND have custom decorated.
  15. Is aw it happen once, right before a big musical number by some dolphins who flew up into the sky. A whale dropped shortly thereafter.
  16. Just waiting for the GP to start thinking the park did a Zack Snyder and can speed up/slow down time.
  17. Thing is, Disney have said themselves something along the lines of, "We will never build a thrill ride, if you want thrills, there's other parks for that.".
  18. It's a wonder they've got any feet left, with the amount of times they've shot themselves in the feet. Rule of thumb is, "if its a good idea its guaranteed it wont happen".
  19. I guess you could say it keeps the evil within..... I'll show myself out.
