Blacking out
I black out on Superman back carriage just after the first turn and usually come back around just after going through the building, Lethal Weapon going into the half loop front row only and come to during the camel back after the twists, Cyclone (front carriage) going into the half loop and come to during the braking section. I also used to black out on the Thunderbolt coming out of the second loop. Cant go on the Reef Diver or whatever they call it now. Blacked out once and didn't come to quickly so they had to e-stop the ride and I came to as we were almost fully lowered. Can't do The Claw for a similar reason.

Aqualoop Size
Wonder if the real reason for the rash vests is the number of people that end up with scratches, cuts and scrapes on their back and backside?

What rides have you gotten stuck on, or have seen broken down?
Think he means the waterfall that cuts you go through and stop on the lift and the waterfall behind you starts again. I have a friend that had that not stop.

Gold Coast parks in Feb
In saying what I did above about weekends being quieter. It would seem I am heading to MW this coming Wednesday. Then again, being school holidays I doubt there will be much different either way.

There is no way my post was adult orientated. Been married for 3 years. None of that going on here. Wouldn't know what it was.

Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster Outside Music
We know that is the interior music for the wild mouse section of the ride. He is enquiring about the music that plays outside the building for ambiance.

Gold Coast parks in Feb
If I am 100% honest, I have always found that weekends are quieter and you can get more done. This was usually confirmed by staff when I saw the daily park attendance info for the week at 5 - 7 thousand and weekends at 3 - 4 thousand. I would dare say the VIP passes have altered this fact but this was pre passes.

What rides have you gotten stuck on, or have seen broken down?
It started to slow and then suddenly the sensation stopped. At that point you could tell something wasn't right. We shot through the station and suddenly stopped, imagine the GL stop on some of those vids and multiply it by 10. It was really full on.

What rides have you gotten stuck on, or have seen broken down?
Yeah TOT was scary... Apparently there was a power outage as we returned to the station. We hit block brakes about 5 metres behind the station. They then run an extension lead to power the harnesses to release you and walk you out. Was enough to put me off doing it again. TOT mislaunch, for some reason it didn't launch properly and slowly rolled out the end of the tunnel (original TOT) MDMC mislaunch, launch kicked in and train slipped on launch as it had been raining. We were stopped immediately and brought back to the station to try again.

Nickelodeon is moving for a Sea change!
Movieworld had these elements quite a while ago and removed them in favour of the towing behind buggies. I think it cheapened their parade a little. However I can understand that it means less motorised units to repair if you have multiple trailer floats you only use during certain times of the year (such as Halloween and Christmas), or for special events (such as DC) instead of having motors sitting over the year seizing.

POLL - What Theme Park would you like to see in Australia?
Posted 29 October 2011 - 10:36 AM Something I have found interesting over the last couple of weeks is the number of guests at the hotel referring to "Rollercoaster World." When I give them a puzzled look they say they believe MW should be changing its name due to the fact is is overun with coasters now and there is nothing for the family to do as a whole and very little for the non thrill seekers. Posted 29 October 2011 - 11:39 AM You have to remember though that a lot of people probably haven't gone to overseas parks. Looking at the myfun website and seeing that of the 8 currently listed rides under their rides page (including BATR2 and GL), 5 of them are coasters. I would say that "Rollercoaster World" is a fair comment. - Now 5 of 7 are coasters. Posted 31 October 2011 - 10:48 PM The thing that upset me (being both a parent AND a rollercoaster enthusiast) is that a new rollercoaster (not referring to GL as it's not replacing anything) like Superman or Scooby, comes at the expense of a ride, or experience, that could be enjoyed by everybody. Posted 17 November 2011 - 07:56 PM I have always wished they updated the Movie Magic Sound Stage Tour instead of ripping it out to add another coaster. I hated when they took out a nice flat family ride (Gremlins) and added another coaster. I don't think that the location chosen for this new coaster is the best idea. I hate that Seaworld covered up the small bit of water that actually warranted the bridge being there to put in a coaster. I hate that Dreamworld moved the Model T Fords to the back of the park to put in a coaster. I hate that Wet n Wild, a park that is about waterslides and attractions put in a coaster. Posted 17 November 2011 - 09:06 PM I understand coaster overload. No it isn't just you... But the leaders of this site don't like people who don't share their views so a lot of people have simply stopped expressing their thoughts instead of having to deal with all the crap they will receive about their posts.
