I went to Movieworld today (bad mistake in holiday season) the park was PACKED....i haven't seen it like that ever before. Anyway, I went on Scooby Doo around 3pm and we had to wait for the elevator to take us up while in the car, then we went backwards we had to wait where that turn table is to start on the turns part. Every section where there was emergency breaks, we stopped, it jolted us every time and stopped us just after the second large drop too. a total of about 6 times. It was a total crap ride, it didnt flow, it kept stopping and you could see all the other cars doing the same, they had a serious problem the attendant said. Weird, anyone had that?

Got some low down today folks on 2 new slides going in this year on the old Thunderbolt site. Not much is said to be what type of slides and when they will open, but just assuming Spring/Summer.

The Vintage cars are re opening up behind the log ride.

Forgot to mention people, Wet n Wild will be opening 2 new Water Slide Attractions this year too. Not sure what it is. Its gonna be big though and make WWW compete. Also Expect the Halfpipe to open in September

That train is not that one from Southport, it was removed from there due to it being unsafe for children, like rust and stuff... Yeah Australian Idol is all the talk around the park at the moment. Its apparently coming into the park. A live Show version

Got filled in today about "The Simpsons" rumor. Its apparently looking at getting built where the old sound stage is in the western part. All the old looking buildings will be ripped out and replaced with a city, you guess it...... Springfield. Surveyors were inspecting the area recently. Anyone with any info please inform us all. I guess we just have to sit back and wait.

I wouldnt have a clue whats coming in there. I havent heard anything from my source.

I heard something about the Simpson's being involved with Movieworld soon, not sure how or where....but its some talk going around. Anyone know anything?

Not sure if this has been mentioned in the past, but I found out from a source that Seaworld is in the process of getting rid of there Cartoon Network Kids area and it will be replaced by Sesame Street. There slowly taking away props and theming and merchandise is on sale to make way for Sesame street items. Expect it to open in time for September Holidays.

The area has all been dug out for the Halfpipe and markings have been added for the station. We should see some supports and work in the next couple of weeks.

Dreamworld has Signed the rights to film the show, "The Shack" on Channel 9 in the Park. It was previously filmed at Seaworld.

On Gold Coast news, they mentioned that Seaworld has sent in request for the Eye to stay permanently, but council have denied it saying its above there 3 story limit, and if they say yes to this for a permanent attraction, it would lead to other company's wanting to build high rises. So Seaworld is trying very hard to keep this, but doesn't look promising.

Had a look today, Its all fenced off next to mammoth river. 2 fenced off sections full of track and 2 orange containers with the carriages my guess. Track is Blue and Supports are White

It was leased out for 6 months and it travels around the world. I know that Seaworld are looking at purchasing an observation ride permanently for the park in the future.
