It’s going to be in the city centre - Yagan’s Square Fun Fair from December 18.

The Wanneroo Show was on the weekend. I was there briefly in the afternoon, but @Tim Dasco was performing at night. Ride-wise, they had Nitro, the wave swinger as well as the super trooper. The zipper was being worked on the whole time I was there. I also noticed some cute model versions of the rides in the pavilion.

Yeah, it was fine. There are plenty of nice bars and cafes, nearby. Adelaide certainly doesn’t have a lot to offer, ride-wise, but Glenelg is an attractive beach side town.

I was in Adelaide, this weekend. Arrived in Glenelg by tram, which reminded me a lot of St Kilda. Saw the Ferris Wheel by the sea, before paying a quick visit to the Beach House FEC. It’s very much for young families and tweeners, with bumper boats, bumper cars, an historic merry go round, a couple of waterslides, a kids train, Wild West mini golf and lots of arcade machines. You get a card and choose whether you want to pay per attraction or for the day.

Tim and I finally got to ride all of the slides on the new tower today, despite the fact that it was only about 20 degrees C. There was an opening event yesterday afternoon, but we didn’t score an invite. There was a lot of smog and it was quite overcast, yesterday, so it worked out for the better. We were the first ones up the tower, today, riding the solo slides, first. We didn’t know how much our combined weight was, so we chose not to do one of the tubes, first. The weigh station is up the top, so we got ourselves weighed and were just under(with a raft we were over). The Gold Rush is the safe, fairly slow slide. The Wedgie was appropriately named. It has a nice zip to it, but nothing scary. The Blackout and The Wall are the most fun. We didn’t have any problems on either, although they were still making adjustments to The Wall, as some kids were valleying. The grass around the tower looks great and there are new cabanas and showers. It connects the different sections of the park together well. There were a couple of school groups there, today, otherwise weight times were zero. We had a chat with some of the staff and owners and they seemed pretty pumped. It sounds like they might construct their own beach pool sometime in the near future.

One time Adventure World was doing a similar thing with Kraken. They claimed it was the new raft type. Eventually, they relaxed that rule.

That zipper was back last night at the Osborne Park Show. There was a massive crowd waiting at the gates, so we quickly bought tickets online. The layout seemed a bit different from last year, as Robinson Reserve has received some new upgrades to its facilities. The fireworks show was excellent. It was 38 degrees yesterday and 39 today, so I’m glad it still went ahead.

It was electric, but it was always breaking down. They put the toboggans on the back. They got rid of it when they got the speed slides.

^Yup, there appeared to be one local dead set against them. Visited the park late, this afternoon. The slide tower is looking great. The grass is looking green and there appears to be pool fencing at the bottom. There are rafts on the wave slide. Apparently, the staff have had their go on the new slides and loved them. There’s a large cabana being erected nearby too. There were plenty of people enjoying splash island as today’s temperature closed in on 40 degrees C. On a side note, the cafe has gone Pepsi postmix.

Mixture of sources here, including AW and the old Boans workers' family Facebook page that no longer exists. They had a family day BEFORE the park opened.

Fright Nights is over for another year. I attended the first two nights and @Tim Dasco was at all 3. The first two nights were extremely wet and cold. The scare actors were great and the maze was a step up from last season. The problem with setting a maze in a moat is that it tends to collect a bit of water when it rains. The staff were friendly and into the event despite the miserable weather. Unfortunately, our Friday was a bit of a write off with plenty of showers and waiting for about 45 mins to get our food. There was a complete mess up with our orders in the tiki bar when they gave away our two slabs of pizza to someone else. They said we’d get some extra fries with our order which would be delivered in just a few minutes. When it did arrive, it was two small pizzas, which they then made complimentary. 10 minutes later our proper slabs arrived. Luckily, we had some drinks and good company to pass the time, so it wasn’t a problem. The attendance went up every night and I’m sure @timdasco can tell you about the rest.

Just make sure you get there before November 3. I suppose @Andrewh has just gotta live with the fact that when anybody goes somewhere they’re not supposed to be it’s doing an ‘AndrewH’.

Unfortunately, the weather forecast for this week looks bad. They would have been better off doing it last weekend like the zoo did. It'll be great to see everyone there, regardless.

Wow - looking incredibly CG, the new Polin Waterparks tower seems complete. It looks great from the front. The park also has new signage over the main gate and new maps through out the park. Mysteriously, the giant jumping pillow has disappeared.

Solo trip to AW, today. Got a free coffee and a nice chat with Ross. Inferno is back up and running. Apparently, it got a new control panel in the refurb. It was doing shots and what appeared to be extended drops. The Aussie Wildlife Experience has yet to reopen.

The building where Abyss is now was the old change rooms. There was an empty section that was also used for mazes, like Prison Break. Yeah, the old toboggan and monorail were at the bottom of the pic. The castle lake had the peddle boats, with a miniature train going around it. The castle was a lookout and a one-time haunt attraction. AW does own some extra land, although turbo mountain was on the western side of the pic(towards the coast). Beat me to it @A.H

It’s been a great eight days of the Perth Royal Show, except for yesterday’s storm where they actually closed the show early, I think most ride operators did really well over the course of the week. We hope to see just as good a line up next year. Today was my fourth visit in 10 days.

Paid the Northam Rec Centre a visit on my way back from the York Festival, today. There were a couple of tradies on site, despite the fact that it was a public holiday here. There were some slide pieces lying around. The base of the slides and the new tower seem to be in the foreground along with some small pools. There’s a 50m pool in the distance with what looks to be a spectator stand.
