Maybe someone's seen Superman III. ?
-
^Yeah, that's what I thought happened on Viking's Revenge - a whole bunch get dispatched at once then they separate before the lift hill. Typical dad moment, though. A friend of mine was on Transformers at USS with his family and completely flipped out when the ride came to a stop just beyond the station.

Wow, you guys really didn't like the Scenic Railway. Whilst I remember bouncing up and down, I didn't come off it bruised and battered (and I've been on Dreamworld's Thunderbolt). I do remember long waits for most rides and ludicrous queues for f and b. The Scenic Railway was running two trains that day I went, but I gave up on an hour wait on the ghost train. Richard, do you think if there's a crackdown on ride safety in Australia, The Scenic Railway might have to close?

^Yeah, that was me. I think one of the Pirates, probably at MK, has people disembarking before the conveyor. I respect the fact that they've decided to decommission it. I don't think you can fill it in, until you know what they're going to do with the land. I'd be happy for them to do something along the lines of the gardens Slick suggested along with a couple of family dark rides. We know how much JL cost, so getting a couple wouldn't break the bank. It'd be good to see them have something like a Fantasyland set up. -

And hopefully not the Hollywood homestead. -
Waterworld has a very 'cool' pre show.

Yeah, I saw the wink. I suppose the danger is a lot of people read these forums and take what is said as gospel. You're lucky TPSN is not reporting that coaster design as official. ? -
^When did they release the cost of DD and Villains Unleashed?
-
The Skyway? The pirate ship? The train? So many attractions to choose from...

Aren't these events? With shows I thought you meant like a Mad Max or DC Super Villains stunt show at MW. They certainly need two top notch shows to please the punters who aren't roller coaster fans. It would also help make it a full day park again. And wow - a 43 comment count in 9 hours! Quiet Sunday was it @Gold Coast Amusement Force?

@Gold Coast Amusement Force - do you not like dark rides? Why are they not included in your polls?
-
A new dark ride. Evidence? I don't believe they are - in a business model sense. Care to clarify your statement?
-
^That sucks. It's a shame you can't put your great TPG skills to use and be a theme park tour guide.

Whilst I have heard the term swimmers, bathers is more common here. Swimmers sounds very old school. Is it English? -

They do offer crocs if you want to ride the go karts and you left your shoes at home. I have no problems fitting into Inferno and I'm 187cm, if that helps. I think Black Widow has a 90kg weight limit; I'm not sure about the height. @AlexB - what was he supposed to say? "Don't forget to bring your togs in your port?" ?? -

Glad to see you so concerned, Alex. I hope that won't put you off your next visit to the park. AW must have sold lots of fast passes on the weekend. I saw the Grand Prix Raceway with the fast pass queue and the regular queue almost meeting up. -
Yes, I would think you'd be on the money there, Joz, even though a raft ride like the Jurassic Park one at USS would avoid that type of conveyor belt system or even a boat ride like It's a Small World, you'd think they'd probably spend a number of years redesigning the whole area without a boat ride at all and even remove the log ride while they're at it.

You should really enjoy it, Tim. It'll blow you away how different the park is at night. Be prepared for long queues as there'll be massive crowds and keep warm because it looks like it'll be quite cold tonight. There's still plenty to see and do even if you don't go on the rides. -

Just a quick trip report from Adventure World's Fright Nights. If you haven't been (and you live in Perth), you've got to go. The park is so full of atmosphere during its Fright Night events: hats off to Mark and his team on making it look so cool. The atmosphere around all of the rides and especially skull rock was awesome. Great to see so many people (especially kids) out there supporting the park. It was hilarious to see all the parents waiting outside at closing time. Didn't catch a lot of the zombie action as the haunters disappeared around 9pm. My favourite was the pointing woman, who seemed to be following me around everywhere. I thought the entertainment was good - I'm an especially big fan of Magnus Danger Magnus (or Vlad). It was amazing to see all of the long queues for the rides, but that wasn't high on my agenda. It was also crazy to see how many people went swimming last night - it wasn't half as warm as it was last year. Inferno wasn't working and had sandbags on it - I presume it had been testing recently. The area for the Extreme Circus has also been cleared away, ready for the big tent. Otherwise, had a very entertaining time. It's always great to see our parks open at night and I look forward to AW's next big event. -

Inferno's not operating, but there are plenty of crazy people in the water.
