  1. It's being refurbished....I don't see the confusion buddy. It didn't say it was being restored...and in any case, whats the difference..if the people want to find out whats happening they can check this site.
  2. He said Indiana Jones or Jurassic Park "STYLE" ride. He didn't say with those two movies as themes. I for one, think it's a great idea. I'd love to have that type of ride at Warner Brothers Movie Word. Hollywood on the Gold Coast.
  3. Seriously? Thats AWESOME!! Any pics of it? My uncle actually sculpted the 1:1 car when he worked at GM, as well as a miniature. So it has sentimental value to me.
  4. Thats crap. I wanted to ride it before it closed, movieworld should have officially announced the closing date so fans could ride one last time. It just shows how much class they have, and stop comparing movieworld to disneyland...they are worlds apart....disney good, movieworld bad...get the picture?
  5. Wow, thats kind of cool. Maybe two of the modules still have the original setup and perhaps thats why they dont use them...like the TV's in the que area of the batcave that used to play a preshow...they still have the same logos and setups, well...then...
  6. I think we need to just keep the river ride, update it a little so everything functions properly and live on in happiness and joy...
  7. I believe it to be a relatively timeless ride, personally...because it has been there since the park opened. I'd rather have a slightly outdated animatronic boat ride than another lousy sleady rotten lazy rollercoaster in the park that has no feeling, no context, no heart and is over in 10 seconds! What about the kids? what about the people who have health conditions and just want to go on a harmless gentle ride and have some fun with their children, or grandchildren?! We dont need another thrill ride park, we need something for the WHOLE family to enjoy!
  8. ash.1111. I agree 100% with you. Movieworld doesnt have that warm feeling it used to...with the addition of things like Hollywood Stundriver and so fourth. It just doesnt feel like what a MOVIE world should, it feels like an arcade.
  9. It's close enough for me. The river ride is one of the greats, I dont want to see it demolished to the ground.
  10. Great. This is such a stupid descision, there will be no original rides left if they keep it up. Morons. Movieworld is floating right down the river (not gonna say whether pun is intended or not).
  11. See the video response on my Gremlin ride video, it's pretty good too.
  12. Djrappa: I have some video of the Western Action show on a VHS tape. Let me know if you want me to post it. Batman Adventure the Ride was based off Batman Returns, so it was a different ride experience up until 2002 when Movieworld decided to revamp the ride. They basically just changed the ride footage, and preshow. The set is the same as it always was, Tracking Module and all. I would like to learn more about the Gremlins theater, It would be nice to see some pictures.
  13. Like movie world needed another thing to ruin their theming atmosphere...
  14. Yeah, exactly. I in particular would just love to see all the Batman ride pics, that would be sensational. I agree in that WVTP wouldn't have a problem with a book that is long since out of production. Have fun in the US!
  15. I don't think anyone wants to buy reproductions, I personally do not. All I want to see it pehaps some pics or scans of the book. There is no need to complicate matters.
  16. If it has any Batman ride pics, I would love it if you could post a pic of them or a scan. It would be greatly appreciated.
  17. I've got one from Movieworld, they are pretty neat. Especially when they have pics of the Police Academy Stunt Show like mine. It would be cool to have one from the 90's because there may be some shots of the 1st Batman ride in there. Keep dreaming Spencer...
  18. That actually seems like a pretty cool event, although I wish there was more...
  19. Yes, the Batmobile is at the Tim Burton exhibit, there is even a video of it on YT.
  20. I really like the river ride, its definetly one of the classics of theme park ameristralia. I can't wait to go on it soon. I'd rather have an old ride than a new Hyper-CG/3D/No Storyline/Over in 7 seconds Rollercoaster/Ride.
