Sea World lighthouse - Star Flyer replacement

NA! Work harder! I've been thinking. To keep up with Villages infringements, maybe Dreamworld should actually hire a temporary ghost train ride for Christmas. They can call it the "Booby-do Wookey Coaster"! The average Movie World customer would never know the difference, surely! -
There are 9D cinemas in Queensland. There's no difference between 7D and 9D whatsoever! Different name for same technology! Physical sets will always have a place of course, but this thread is about new technologies which can be used to enhance theme park experiences. That doesn't mean only visual technology either. What about new types of ride technology?

What are practical sets?

With the coming introduction of projection mapping on the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster, and at Australian Outback Spectacular, I've been trying to imagine what the next big technological breakthrough might be that could further improve theme park experiences. First we had standard cinemas, then IMAX, and 3D, then 4D, and now 7D cinemas. We have virtual reality and holographic technology. Now projection mapping. These enable rides and shows which were simply impossible not long ago. Just for fun, can you imagine what might come next?

Sea World lighthouse - Star Flyer replacement

Anyone who gets a portable fairground spin 'n' spew confused with an immersive flight simulator in an extensively rebuilt building obviously has very little appreciation for what theme parks are all about! I'm not just saying they're not enthusiasts, but they don't even have a low level of interest in enjoying a visit to a theme park. There's just no contest! It's like Dreamworld opening a ghost train from the EKKA and trying to pass it off as similar to the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster when it reopens. -
I agree and wouldn't mind getting such texts if it's only when I'm at the park . People can easily opt out.

It's superb themeing, but the lack of it at the Gold Coast parks is one of the reasons it's so cheap to get in. There has to be a balance, and I'm glad I can afford to go to several good parks whenever I want. Good, not quite world class, but that's ok by me. -

AlexB and Joz, you both have thoughts which are correct. You are welcome to continue to be correct. Have a terrible day! -

My thoughts too. -
Frig me!

It's a sort of green/yellow gas and it flows into your Doowacky from tubes attached to the top. It's probably what makes you fly over Gotham City when the Joker pulls you off the edge of the roof, instead of falling to your death.
-
If it's the same type of gas Movie World uses in the Doowackys you wear on Arkham Asylum, it makes me happy!

It would be great to see this sort of imaginative planning go into the real Sea World. -

Thanks so much for that. I can certainly see some dirt at the bottom of the pool there, and it does appear to form a rather interesting pattern. However, I have to say that the dirt in Jdude95s photo looks a lot more pure, and (if dirt can be) I almost want to say it looks cleaner too. These are two qualities I think are extremely important in any theme park dirt. Still. Beggars can't be choosers, as the saying goes. Although I must add they could have asked if they could have a bit from the Wet & Wild buggy track, now it's no longer needed there. -

That's fine with me. I just really hope it opens before Christmas, and it sounds like it will! -

Well of course they would. You could say that they have a, err, Monopoly on the production of the game really so they can charge however much they want! -

Skeeta, as I'm not currently in Qld, could you possibly do me a massive favour and post a photo of this dirt?
