  1. Well. That's the last time (I really hope) I'll go on the ride with no themeing (or theming, I still can't work out how to spell that one!) Really looking forward to it reopening. Just hope I won't find it disappointing after waiting so long. As long as it's AT LEAST as good as it used to be (but preferably much better) I'll be satisfied!
  2. I really hope you're right on both counts!
  3. Not at all. I'm just proud of the parks (Movie World especially) and think they deserve to be maintained in top condition. I didn't feel strongly enough about any of these little issues to bother guest services (and I very much doubt they could do anything about them if I had), but it's surely a discussion worth having on here.
  4. Ah. That makes a bit more sense then. I'm still unsure why they felt the need to put a temporary attraction right next to Kevill Hill, so close that it will at least partially block the view of it. There's not exactly a shortage of space elsewhere in the park for it. We'll see. On the face of it all of that sounds pretty good to me, but I'd like to know some detail. What will the new attractions be? Where will they be? Most importantly, when will we see them at least start to construct the first of them?
  5. Well if they're building a permanent one I'm even more confused. I doubt they are though.
  6. Is Dreamworld really putting in a ferris wheel as a temporary attraction? Hardly worthy of them spending $2 on, if they are.
  7. Is it too much to ask that things like this are checked, and reconditioned if necessary before they're put out each year? It's a small pile of snow on top of a newspaper stand, by the way!
  8. Why is it so hard to keep something as simple as a clock working?
  9. Speaking of ruined effects, this cable has been exposed like this for at least a week now. The effect is not working, but how hard would it be to at least hide the cable?
  10. We've been waiting about a year with it in its current state, so I would definitely hope it will be not just as good as it was, but far better! Why it had to be empty so long though is beyond me.
  11. Just for fun, what do you think the parks will be like in about 30 years from now? Will all the current parks still exist? Will there be any new ones? If so what and where? Who will own the parks? What major rides and attractions will each park have? Will there be any attractions that are completely unlike anything at any park now? What will it cost to use the parks? Will there be any different night events? Overall, will the parks be better, just as good, or worse?
  12. Make sure you book the Christmas buffet to enjoy while you're there. Full Christmas dinner and adds loads to the overall experience!
  13. It's only just had annual maintenance. It should be 100%.
  14. It's unfortunate in a way that the administrator of a Facebook page cannot delete reviews, other than maybe by asking Facebook to do so. It's more unfortunate that a lot of pathetic people abuse the Facebook review system to give 1 star ratings on the basis of something stupid such as this. Each star rating affects the average rating everyone can see, hence someone who knows nothing about Dreamworld could check their page and potentially see a completely unfair low star rating which may not be at all representative of what the vast majority think of Dreamworld. Hence I completely understand why they'd disable reviews. Sad.
  15. You're quite right. I stand corrected. Perhaps more of a hefty kick in the stomach?
  16. Good on Dreamworld for firmly correcting that idiot, although it's a shame they can't correct them the same way the tiger handlers correct the tigers as that would probably work better for someone that thick!
  17. I've been to Disneyland. I don't remember everything about it as I was 14 and it was a long time ago. I do remember a lot of queueing though!
  18. I can't recommend Outback Spectacular highly enough. I've lost count of how many times I've been. It's just an incredible experience whether you're a tourist or not!
  19. They are very capable though. The effects in Australian Outback Spectacular are never anything short of, well, spectacular!
  20. I have seen it once, but I was only 14 and I really don't remember it. However yes that was an old example of the general sort of show I'm referring to.
  21. The stunt show definitely needs a revamp. A couple of years ago it was much better, and actually featured some stunts! I would have to assume the current show came about because the skilled stunt drivers left and Village couldn't find the funds to attract new ones. It's pretty embarrassing to be honest, especially as the show is called "Hollywood Stunt Driver 2". The recent magical show they've had as part of Fright Nights demonstrates that the arena can lend itself well to other types of shows. It doesn't have to involve stunt cars. Maybe a completely new type of show for next year. One idea that occurs to me would be a show which demonstrates how some of the special effects in movies are made.
  22. I can see a lot of people being quite happy to travel from Brisbane or Coolangatta to Top Golf as well as locals. It will be a major attraction unlike anything else in Queensland.
  23. For me the re-ride value is to try to beat your own best score (or someone elses) from a previous ride. I was probably on track to achieve that a few days ago when the score froze. Quite annoying!
  24. I'm sure the 3 year old would be happy with either of the first two options, but not the third!
  25. If something like that happens, why not just offer to let all the subsequent riders stay on and have another go. That way nobody would be disappointed.
