No problem!

I didn't overlook the last part of your comment. I just think the NSW government overlooked the fact people were riding the monorail EVEN THOUGH it didn't go anywhere useful. That should have told them it was obviously worth keeping. Not as a means of public transport, but as a tourist attraction!
-
So if only 22% ofpassengers were cummuters, doesn't that tell you that most of the passengers were NOT using it purely as a means to get from A to B? i don't really care about the Sydney monorail anyway. I've never lived there and never would. I'm here in S.E. Queensland and I have easy access to not one, but two fantastic monorail systems. Lucky me!
-
But it was a major tourist drawcard, which they no longer have!
-
No offense intended, but that's one of the big differences between people in Sydney and those in Queensland, in my opinion! But I did spend the last 20 odd years in Adelaide, which has even fewer fun things to do than Sydney. There are various reasons it took me so long to finally move to Queensland, but I certainly appreciate it now I'm here, having spent all that time in Adelaide. I'll never take for granted the fact that I live in the best place on Earth! Again though, not everyone will agree, and that's ok. I wouldn't want everyone in the world trying to cram into Queensland!

That tower? Why when they already have one very similar? Also, what does it have to do with movies? -

What is Doomsday? -
All Sea World have announced is that the funpool is to make way for a new attraction. That's all I know!

So they're relocating the graves from outside the Scooby Doo exit. We already knew that! But anyway I'm pleased to hear that this years new attraction won't be a roller coaster. If it's great but small, I'm hoping for a walk through. -
I am struggling to comprehend why Sea World didn't get a couple of spare monorail parts from the Sydney monorail when it was stupidly and unnecessarily ripped to pieces by the morons in the NSW government a few years ago. From what I've heard they were in perfect working condition, and could have been had very cheap.
-
Not at high speed please. The speed the monorails go at now is ideal! They need to do whatever is needed to maintain it as is. It's a vital part of the park as far as I'm concerned. They should be budgeting for proper maintenance, and that includes eventual replacement.
-
Not sure what point you're trying to make but it seems unnecessarily negative to me. I'm the customer. I love monorails, so if they want my business they should invest in their monorail. Simple!
-
I'm aware of that. Doesn't mean they can't get another though.
-
If they were to create a few attractions on that side of the park (on the reclaimed land and where Sea Viper was) they could also open an additional monorail station half way along that side, which would again get people moving and spreading around the park more. Although if they did that I'd like to see them return to a minimum of 2 monorails running at all times, and 3 on busier days, otherwise the wait at any of the stations could be unacceptable.

I've long thought that most of the pathways throughout Sea World are far from an ideal layout. As a starting point, I wish they'd open those stupid white low level gates that used to only be closed when the miniature train was coming through. Now there's no train but they're closed all the time, which forces everyone to go through the nearby food court. I realise that's the whole idea (to try to encourage people to spend on food / drinks or the sideshow games), but honestly I think they could do the decent thing and get rid of the gates, and give people a clearer path to walk through the park. Those who want to find food and drinks or sideshow games will have no difficulty doing so! Longer term it would be ideal if they were to create a pathway on the other side of the lake (with a few attractions on that side to draw people across to it). They could do this now with the reclaimed land they have from the lake. Maybe that is the long term plan. That way the park would have a cicular, rather than its current linear layout which would spread the crowds out a lot more evenly and make it feel like a much bigger park to explore. As for the stupid pathway they've created for the Storm coaster. Don't get me started on that but it really couldn't be much worse!

I suppose I just had a slight hope that they might have just upgraded it to include new cabins, even replacing the cable if it were necessary to ensure it would last well into the future. Now that the pillars are being removed that only leaves the completely gutted stations, meaning they'd more or less have to start from scratch to rebuild the chairlifts.

Tiger Island Refurbishment - Dreamworld 2016

The Brock museum is a pretty decent walk through and even though I'm not interested in racing cars I enjoy it more than ZE. -

It was nothing like a dark ride but fair point about the Brock museum. I take it as a very good replacement for Zombie Evilution and I withdraw my earlier comment that a replacement is needed. We already have one! -
We already have a great "Aussie" park in the Gold Coast. It's called Paradise Country.

Tiger Island Refurbishment - Dreamworld 2016

Whilst it was just a stock standard laser skirmish, just like the ones that are all around the suburbs now, it was free to anyone in Dreamworld and in my opinion was a pretty good attraction for that reason. However I've only been in it once because I was expecting that since it's called Zombie Evilution and it's in a theme park there would be actors playing Zombies within it. I was expecting it would be guests against zombies, with maybe the zombies getting higher scores per hit to give them a fair chance against a larger team of guests. Instead it was meh. Just like the suburbs. OK but disappointing compared to what I expected. Fair enough with the Tiger Island expansion, but we do now need something to replace Zombie Evilution. Preferably something better! Come on Ardent. DREAM BIG! -
The pool itself is unchanged except there's no water in it.
-
I'd say the remaining ones will be gone within a week.
-
Front chairlift station has been gutted. The pillar closest to it has been removed with only the concrete base remaining. I think there was a pillar that was submerged in the lake. If so that's gone too. Quite depressing!

Looks that way.

A familiar sight in the car park!
