As expected! No problem, but they really should have been more careful estimating the opening in the first place. What if some people have booked a holiday late this year based on the expectation of being one of the first on the ride? Obviously they'll be left very disappointed!
-
And it's also what I'm saying
-
I certainly don't. Of course it's about the experience. Why else would anyone go to a theme park!
-
They most certainly do! This is a perfect fit for Dreamworld. It's unlike any other attraction at any other theme park in Australia, and it's designed to make you feel like you're flying over Australia (like a dream)! I've even given them the perfect song to use in the marketing (although they'd have to get the rights to use it). It should be marketed WITH THE NAME so people can spread the word ("I'm going on the SkyVoyager at Dreamworld!", and "Mum, Dad, Can we go to Dreamworld so we can go on SkyVoyager?") The name is an essential part of marketing. Imagine McDonald's trying to advertise a new burger they haven't yet decided what to call!

A very good question. I was wondering about the same thing.

I love Lego, but the Lego store is at Dreamworld, and at the moment so is the Lego Brickman exhibition. Movie World has the Lego Movie 4D at Roxy theatre. Makes me wonder if there's any other Warner Brothers movies they could use. I thought I'd seen one or two!
-
Hard to see how it will be open by less than 3 months from now.
-
Something like that would be a better use for the building where Junior Driving School is that's for sure!
-
Perfect! Personally I'd much prefer the bulldozer.
-
Perfect new themed land for a future Dreamworld upgrade. "Construction Site Land". They literally already have most of the themeing in place!
-
I was just "extending the ride"!
-
Or add to the immersive realism of the MRT theme by extending the ride into the centre of Surfers Paradise, or (and this is a slight stretch) maybe even into the centre of Brisbane. They could do this with underground tunnels too!
-
What if they build a multi-level underground tunnel with a train in each. They could easily accommodate at least 6 trains.
-
Or alternatively, don't waste money on unnecessary alterations to a ride that already works well, and instead use it to build exciting new attractions!
-
Agreed, but there are ways of telling someone that courteously.
-
Or just, you know, ask a goddamm question without having to go through all that. Kind of like having a conversation with real people in real life!
-
Very well said. My thoughts precisely!
-
I thought so! Take no notice of those lacking manners and respect around here Dylan, and you can also block and report them if you want.
-
A very good question. I've seen it being used just one time, quite close to when it was first installed. I was seriously considering booking it as it looked like great fun. Sadly like the Wet & Wild Buggies, I never quite got the chance to do so! I'd love to know the reason though!

NEW RAPID RIVER RIDE FOR DREAMWORLD PERHAPS?
pushbutton replied to dylan_oregan's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I read on another thread that an adventure river was being planned for Whitewater World, if that's what you mean. I'd say there's next to no chance of them building anything like Thunder River Rapids for the foreseeable future, and probably ever. -
I'm very surprised to hear there's a theme park (of sorts) in North Korea. I thought any kind of fun was strictly prohibited there. I'm also very surprised you were able to travel there. I certainly didn't think of it as a tourist destination!
