while I agree with what you have said I just feel if there was ever any other interest in building a theme park in Sydney thay would have saved wonderland off sunway I maybe - am wrong too just what I think would have happened

if VRTP have ever been looking at a theme park in Sydney im sure thay whould have saved wonderland whould have been much cheaper then starting a new park I don't see them building a new theme park other then WNWS if wonderland chould not make a profit that made it worth adding new rides other then the couple it did in its 19 years while I hope its not true I don't see much chance of a theme park the size of wonderland - gold coast parks been built in Sydney - NSW again when wonderland was sold to sunway in 1997 the partners that built the park sold out as thay said it was a under performing asset even back then that it sold for 15 million less then it cost to build the park in 1984-85

while it will be good to see a new wonderland open in Sydney its a shame there is no business case to use the hanna barbera franchise in todays market just wont ever feel the same for me without the hanna barbera characters but here's hopeing thay can get a licence to a franchise of some sort ?

I know each time I say it everyone is like what but I say add hanna barbera - cartoon network ip along with looney tunes to kids wb there owned by warner and hanna barbera worked very well at australia's wonderland for 16 years alot of sydney miss hanna barbera land and whould enjoy bringing there kids to something thay grew up with

is it just me or whould it seem to be perfect for dreamworld and also to re name it thunderbolt 2 ?

im sure after 31 years the track whould have alot of rust from been lift sbno for such a long time ?

im sure it whould have cost more the main reason the park had the hanna barbera licence in the first place was the its owner taft broadasting built and part owned the park but by 2002 warner brothers owned hanna barbera and im guessing thay whould have increased the licence fee or just did not wish to renew the licence as thay were opening the scooby doo spooky coaster at movie world

when james hardie 23.75 % jacor-taft broadcasting 23.75 sas trustee corp 33.75% leighton holdings 18.75 % sold australia's whonderland to sunway for 50 million in 1997 that was at a loss of 15 million on the cost of building the park in 1984-6 its not known what profit - any profit the park made in its first 11 years that mite have made up for that 15 million lost or even covered the cost of the beach - demon and space probe added in 1988-1992-1995 when sunway sold the park in 2004 for 52 million thats only 2 million more then it cost them in 1997 who knows if the park ever run at a profit between 1997 - 2004 as it seems it never made enoth profit to make it worth adding any new rides - id think it whould have been running at a loss from around 2001 - 2004 for sure so with the cost of closeing hanna barbera land in 2002 and removeing the licence then moveing the rides around the park - buying the marvel licence and the cost of closeing the park and demo cost i dont think sunway whould have made much if anything from the park overall just how i see it anyway

yes i also miss TOPS myer center very much also had some very good times there as a kid it seems our kids will never get rides as good as what we had as kids witch is a real shame

hi guys just whould like to here what you guys and girls remember about the parks as kids that are now gone and that you miss most the things i miss most are 1 - the australian country jamboree -dreamworld 1982-2001 2 - waner brothers classics & the great gremlins adventure - movie world 1991-2001 3 young einstein's gravity homestead - movie world 1991-2000 4 batman adventure the ride 1 - movie world 1992-2001 5 looney tunes river ride movie world -1991-2011 lots of other things also but just some of the things i remember and miss so much also really miss HANNA BARBERA LAND at australia's wonderland even tho it was in nsw

if u ever do a new video u should show the front side the big red car ride building near billabong as it was once the koala theater and home of the australian country jamboree

sorry to say but there's no chance of them bring it back i know we all wish things we loved about the parks that have been closed and replaced will be returned but it does not happen i miss the studio tour - the grate gremlins adventure - young einstein's gravity homestead - police academy stunt show - batman adventure the ride 1 - the looney tunes river ride the park was once so much better then it is today but its never going to be the same again

funny thing is speedy taxi's is the only original ride left from movie worlds 1991 opening so take that away ands theres very little of the original movie world left

yes and i whould love to see something new in the park thats not dc comic's related hence why revamping the kids wb area works both ways

does anyone think that villige will or should refurb - revamp the kids wb area to help combat dreamworks at dreamworld after all thay can use the looney tunes river ride replacement as the center piece of the refurb

the looney tunes are older then any hanna barbera property? but i know there not going to put hb into the park all i was saying was its a licence thay already own going to waste and what makes u think thay have to theme a ride to hanna barbera just adding fred - yogi etc walking around thr park - kids wb whould be a good start

waner bro's own hanna barbera not just the cinamatic rights that why all new shows - movies made from or based on hanna barbera property's are made by waner bro's becouse thay own them and most hanna barbera shows are still on pay tv channel boomerang so im sure more kids whould know them more then u think thay also sell hanna barbera dvd's and toys in australia so someone must know who thay are im just saying that more hanna barbera property's in the park along side looney tunes whould be a good addition to kids wb hey if i does not work there not paying a licenceing fee to try out how it go's ?
