Seems wildly familiar to one of my posts in another topic. I should find it And finally Movie World, wet n wild, paradise country and Outback spectacular should be made into a 4 'experience' family resort with a large transportation system (the sydney monorail?, or any other) and a couple of hotels. This would certainly boost attendance and make the tourism industry quite a lot of cash. What I said in another topic

a lot of rides will be walk on, especially in Sea World. I went to Dreamworld in peak and a q4u was unnecessary

seeing as though the construction areas are near water it is promising that something could happen where the coaster interacts with the water like coasters at busch gardens -

Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens is educational but not too bad that the whole ride is based around it. Maybe if Sea World incorporate the educational part just in the queue or pre-ride section like Jet Rescue it would be better -

I agree with the posts above, I think an educational theme would give rider the wrong opinion about the ride. Sure it may be a coaster but who would want to learn stuff on one. A rescue mission gone wrong could work for me as you can build up a storyline and have it crashing down (the coaster section) and maybe pass through the eye of the storm before the final drop (going through the last part of the storm before clear waters) I am excited to see what SeaWorld have chosen to do -

maybe they need to start promoting it now, so they can allow for construction to start without speculation -
It's awesome how they can make both Superman: Escape from Krypton (and then come right back again) and Lex Luthor Drop of Doom go at the same time

that still sounds ridiculous going backwards through the town and missing everything, like the falling sign when someone dies and the water effects. And to go through the lift hill backwards and missing the guy telling you to get out. Thats wrong IMO. You're joking, right?

Thanks Mickey D, I have had a strong interest in theme parks from a young age and your story is amazing, do you mind sharing how you got to being the "creator" of Batman Adventure the Ride. My gosh that ride goes down in Australian theme park history Would love to hear it -
^ Yeah sorry I knew it was late, I remember seeing it when renewing my Annual pass, oh well I couldn't really get at any confirmation with the above comments, forgive me?

Dreamworld 5 year plan - a challenge
JacobSibbald replied to aussienetman's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Hi, I sent the message that I wrote above to Dreamworld, this was their very lengthy reply Dear Jacob, Thank you for taking the time to write to us with your suggestions for Dreamworld. Feedback from our guests is both important and appreciated. It is always a pleasure to hear from our guests, especially ones like yourself. At Dreamworld we are constantly updating and reviewing our parks rides and attractions in accordance with new technology and developments and also to make sure remain Australia’s Favourite Theme Park. Our new alliance with Dreamworks is still in its infancy, but there are plenty more developments on the way in the near future, with the completion of Po’s Garden due in late 2012. I will pass on your suggestion of a Dreamworks Parade to the planning committee in charge of Dreamworks. Kenny the Koala is still an active member of the Dreamworld family and makes an appearance at the park every day, as does his friend Belinda Brown. Have you heard about our Illuminate Show? Dreamworld’s Illuminate show is a light and laser spectacular set through the main street and utilizing the nearby buildings and main street fountain. The show is synchronized to music and uses lasers, pyrotechnics and a water screen to wow our guests. You can see some photos of the previous show here http://www.dreamworld.com.au/Attractions/Illuminate/. We are thrilled that Big Brother is returning to its home at Dreamworld. We are still planning the new series, so I can’t give away any secrets, but it is sure to be a great series! Jacob, there are many great suggestions in your email. Some of these ideas we have already implemented in the park but there are quite a few that I have passed on to our Planning Committee to consider for future developments of Dreamworld & WhiteWater World. Thank you once again for taking the time to contact us, and we hope to see you at Dreamworld in the future. Kind Regards, -

Totally agree with you original. I do wish Ardent would look at these blog posts and get the ideas of people that frequently visit the parks to make it the best it can be. I would love to see some more entertainment, maybe a parade utilizing the affiliation Dreamworld have with Dreamworks. Possibly call it the Dreamworks Jamboree Parade or something. If Dreamworld bring back Kenny the Koala or introduce another protagonist, I don't se why they can't gather ideas from shows such as Fantasmic and build a water, laser and action lagoon show in the river. A Mega-lite coaster from intamin with the right theming or something similar to Verbolten from Busch Gardens would work wonders on the island IMO. Dreamworld should also make an immersive Big Brother experience with the return of the hit show looming. I would definitely fix up Gold Rush, incorporate a scare maze possibly to Buzz Saw similar to Alton Towers, fix up Eureka or build a Vekoma mine train in it's place. Add some more excitement to the raft ride, possibly adding a drop similar to Grizzly River Run in DCA. Or build an entirely new river ride with a big drop and theming similar to WWF. Even a scare maze added to TOT2 would work wonders in Screamworld or Halloween events. Mick Doohan's either needs a re theme or a demolition to build a better dark ride or something along the banks of the river. Ardent need to expand White Water World and do something to actually rival Wet n wild which is clearly an amazing waterpark. An expansion of Dreamworld entirely to build a B&M wingrider would be amazing and would bring the benchmark even higher for MW to follow. Maybe I should send this to them and see what they say I would love to keep hearing ideas I love reading these types of Forum articles -
Im quite keen for Sea World, who already has the facilities to do something like this, to put on an amazing water show.

I'm in no way meaning to start an 'out of room' argument just tossing around ideas, I do like your example too haha

I did say it was a bit of a stretch but I can wait, I know how expensive these things are World of Color peaking at $500 million? I find that difficult to comprehend but I guess disney would go to any lengths to make their mark on history even better. As far as a large scale ride such as a B&M, they are super expensive I know, maybe a MACH smaller ride like manta in sea world San Diego? I wish VRTP purchased more land originally but there is quite a bit of land in the inner section between Wet n wild and Movie World (with the exception of Outback Spectacular) that could be used. I know I am dreaming here now, but oh well There is a lot of space around the sound stages I noticed on Nearmap. Hmm I don't know, anyone else got other thoughts?

Hi, Just a random thought that I believe Movie World or Sea World could pick up. Dreamworld already have this type of entertainment but I actually hate it. If you haven't guessed by now, a walt disney's World Of Color type lagoon show. Every character that WBMV explores can be placed in an exciting seasonal lagoon show full of jets of water and spray curtains. Australian's have not really seen anything like this before, other than overseas and will love it, in my opinion. I have been thinking about it in my head, the type of sequences it could go through with superman fighting Lex Luthor on a spray screen with red and blue fountains dancing around below. If VRTP do have that cash left in their kitty and they have sorted out Justice league and Looney Tunes Movie World could begin to make a name for itself as a one of the best parks in the world, certainly behind Disney and Universal. Also, I wish VR would consider a Bolliger and Mabillard coaster. These are excellent crowd pleasers and Australia does not have any BIG coasters. And finally Movie World, wet n wild, paradise country and Outback spectacular should be made into a 4 'experience' family resort with a large transportation system (the sydney monorail?, or any other) and a couple of hotels. This would certainly boost attendance and make the tourism industry quite a lot of cash. What are your thoughts, I know these are a little far stretched but hey a person can dream! -Jacob (oh and I will be in the GC from 23-30 june if there is a meetup then I will be sure to come!)
