They don't need the train, they have a monorail. They seem to be ripping up the train tracks and hopefully building a new pathway for much easier access around the park. Or they plan to build a electric fence with barb wire. That will stop people bypassing their food and retail outlets!

Have Sea World FINALLY removed the gate? Source Theme Park Social Network.

They could make mine karts come out of the mountain filled with gold. All they need is to have them on a circular track that automatically moves them around. Or even better create a new mine ride.

Are they getting rid of the station or using it for the next coaster? If they tear down the station they will need to get rid of the old train stored under the station, which may lead to them ripping up the reaming train track, which they will then get rid of that annoying gate in the middle of the public walkway! Keeping the station may be a good idea it will mean the new coaster will be free (no need to hire an annoying locker). -
Couldn't they have kept the avalanche and renamed it Pandamonium?

I was being sarcastic. I would love them to build a new Mine Ride but they won't -

Dreamworld use the Mine Ride for storage, why would they tear it down? Of course they should listen to there fans and revamp the Mine Ride. I bet a new roller coaster will open at Sea World next year and Dreamworld won't build anything exciting... -

1. Why did they move the vintage cars and forget to theme them? 2. Why did a thrill ride get placed in the kids area? 3. Why was the paddle boat destroyed? 4. Did Dreamworld ever consider buying The Demon or any other Wonderland rides after the park closed? 5. Why do they leave things like the chairlift to rot and not replace / redevelop them? 6. Will the Mine Ride ever get replaced with a similar ride? 7. Why did they replace the steam train with that slow ugly train? 8. Is there any thing left of the Thunderbolt? 9. Will Dreamworld ever build some decent roller coasters to compete with Movie World? 10. Will the cinema be upgraded to 4D?

Parkz News Sea World's Sea Viper closes after 32 years

Don't forget to keep bugging Sea World. The more people who tell them to buy it the higher chance that they will consider it. -
You never were locked in and could lift the harness during the ride. Also the ride never stopped and you could easily get injured while boarding. (The chair would bump you)
-
It was unsafe too. But I'm positive that it never reopened after the storm.
-
They closed the chairlift after a tree branch fell on it. Getting everyone off was very difficult and it never reopened.

I saw somewhere that it's gone to India? It would be great if Sea World got it, not very likely though. -
The only deaths I heard about in an Australian theme park is some Asians once fell out of the Kodak Skylink Chairlift and died also once a freak storm went through Dreamworld and knocked tree branches onto the chairlift. No one died but it was very hard to get everyone off. It never opened again after that. The Kodak Skylink Chairlift was the scariest ride in the park and very unsafe. I'm glad it closed. They should replace it with a system like at Sea World eher it can stop at the stations.

I believe the next attraction that will be made over will be the Cyclone. With Sea Viper now retired it is now the oldest roller coaster (opened in Luna Park Sydney in 1995 as The Big Dipper). I suggested to the to buy the old Sea Viper train and this is what they said... "Hi Gary, We saw the news that one of their attractions was retiring. We have a plan for Cyclone, we have a few other new attractions and projects to finish first but cyclone is on the list." I really hope that the Cyclone does get a much needed makeover as it is very rough now days which makes it not very enjoyable. I usually can only stand riding it once and the line is always very short.

Since it's Sea World not Dreamworld it will probably be scrapped very soon not sit and rot in the park. -
On the Sea Viper page on Sea World maintenence page is the following message. " Sea Viper is being retired after bringing thrills to Sea Worlds guests for 32 years. Sea Viper has been a wonderful attraction but there comes a time when all rides need to retire. Sea World is constantly looking at new attractions like the $21M Storm Coaster which opened in December and there are several new and exciting options in the pipeline. Our theme parks are ever changing to ensure we continue to bring you, our guests, the best possible theme park experience possible."

Doomsday - Potential New Tower Ride at Movie World
Gary86 replied to Gary86's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I hope they don't build Doomsday as it will make Superman Escape and Batwing Spaceshot seem very small. The plan is for a soft style that will slowly go up the tower and slowly come down suitable for people who would like to see the view who aren't thrillseakers.
