Last year I was in line for Green Lenten and they closed all outdoor rides BEFORE it rained. I believe there was a storm warning but all we had was rain so I hanged in the arcade until it cleared.

I find Cyclone very uncomfortable (not as bad as Motorcoaster though!) Sea Viper also gets uncomfortable.
-
AA is way more comfortable then LW. With LW I was glad when it was over but I do enjoy AA.

Postcards.

I like rides with a good story, theming and thrill factor. Superman Escape is currently my favourite ride.

I saw The Wiggles early on Thursday morning in Wiggles World filming something.

Went to Dreamworld yesterday here's what I found... Areas/ Rides open late and close early. "Open For Happiness" yeah right! That's bad! Oh look someone forgot to close the gate... ...so after wondering into the "forbidden zone" I ended up finding out that it's not just Sea World that keep people in captivity! The Wipeout in its current state. If you remember the shark that used to swim around he reaaly is a fish out of water in the Reef Diver theming. I hope he gets a new home back in the water where he belongs soon. Remember the "Coca Cola Imax Theater". Well even though that is long gone and it is now the "Dreamworld Cinema" you can still see a Coca Cola sign on the wall. The movie playing was the same film from last year. The old paddle steamer may be gone but the wharf and old line area still remains.... ... found behind the motorcoaster in the gross, brown polluted waters of Dreamworld once so beautiful river lies the wreak of the paddle boat. For a great view ride the Motor Coaster! Remember the old Rivertown shark? Found in Ocean Parade looking a bit worn now. "Rivertown" may no longer exist but signs still point you into that direction. The gift shop sells Tower of Terror 1 merchandise for full price! At lunch time it can be very hard to find an open food outlet. Do you love turbines? Than ride the Tower of Terror 2 to learn all about them! It would give me lots of happiness if this attraction actually was open! Don't forget about Nick Central a great place to hire a locker....if it actually existed! The Simpsons Arcade is still broken as always. And now what Dreamworld would look like if it closed down and became abandoned... ...Oh wait that is just what Dreamworld looks like when it is still in operation! Just when you thought they were "high on mushrooms" when they themed the log ride (which now has a "mushroom man in the tunnel!" they have been placing ugly mushroom on Main Street as well!

I found single use lockers are better value. You can have at least 5 rides throughout the day for the same price. I normally keep riding as much as I can within the hour. I would find it much better if there was free storage options available on all rides like Dreamworld. Having a lot of $2 coins on hand helps a lot.

It's sad to see another classic attraction go, and the young kids loved it.
-
I thought it might be the Dinosaur Island sign.
-
I love Wild West Falls. It is the best "log flume" on the Gold Coast followed by Log Ride and Vikings Revenge being the worst. They need it as a family attraction and it is very popular. They just need to fix up the broken theming and effects (this also applies to Scooby Doo).

at dreamworld now taking photo requests
Gary86 replied to Reanimated35's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Dreamworld used to have very detailed park maps. Google "Dreamworld Dreamsite" to check out classic maps and more! The current map is with out a doubt the most ugliest and useless map ever. I guess Dreamworld can't afford a decent map artist like Village. Back on topic photograph all the turbines you see, poor theming, cost cutting and abandonment issues. -

Dreamworlds park map is so ugly and inaccurate. They don't even realize that the Cyclone is located out of place in the middle of WWW. According to the map there is no rollercoaster in the centre of WWW. -

I don't know how they could re-theme the WipeOut. It actually is a ride that is not out of place and goes with the theme of Ocean Parade. Unlike some other poorly placed / themed rides... -
The mini golf sits abandoned on the rooftop of Centro Shopping Centre.

When did Bermuda Triangle start to go downhill
Gary86 replied to coasterdude44's topic in Theme Park Discussion
There is a ride in Germany that is pretty much the same as the old Bermuda Triangle. I think it went downhill when they replaced the fire with a stupid light. -
The ride you are thinking of was actually called the "Roulette". It had a casino theme. It was rethemed to the "Stingray" when the area got rethemed to "Ocean Parade". The Gold Rush Country area opened in 1986 with Thunder River Rapids and the Mine Ride. Most likely this area was under construction during the time the video was made.

Wild West Falls in the rain gets you very wet!

Storm Coaster at Sea World. I was still wet when I got to Movie World later that day - and that was traveling by bus and stopping at Westfield for lunch!

Sorry to bump an old topic but something is happening to the old LTRR. There is a large hole at the side of the building...

Some pictures I took on Tuesday of the Hollywood Stunt Driver arena.

I heard audio on Justice League for the first time yesterday. Green Lantern was closed but it started raining on my second ride of Superman. Not good in the rain as it rains right in your face!
