  1. No change is needed. Two parks are vastly different in nature and in location. LPS Won't be affected much. Would love to see another coaster at LPS, but doubt it will happen anytime soon.
  2. Leonardo Dicaprio intends to try it all over again(Film Revival, he's hopeful to start a big budget "Anthology film series" for his Appian Way company, in which each "Twilight Zone" sequel has it's own unique standalone 2 hour Sci-Fi or Horror story). As does Director Bryan Singer(Attempting to spark a full television revival on CBS)..... in two entirely diffrent "Twilight Zone" projects....
  3. Did they talk about anything else to do with Dreamworld?
  4. Would you count The Twilight Zone drop ride as having a "Horror theme based on a Franchise(Film and Television)"? It's certainly got a "Supernatural theme".
  5. Personally from my last trip in January 2012, I felt the Park needs the front expansion to go through. The original plan was to expand the park further into the Parking Lot area and add a Shopping precinct. I don't think a shopping area would be appropriate, but I agree with the park expansion. I would bring the famous "Arch" to the front of the Ticket office(which would stay where it is), have Green Lantern brought inside the walls. Add another attraction(a walkthrough Looney Tunes Museum and a WB giftshop) on the right side of the ticket office. Find space to put a DC themed smaller outdoor stunt arena somewhere in the DC Hub. Perhaps "Gotham Baseball Stadium" in accordance with The Dark Knight Rises. The Batman Main Street show could be expanded into a full-on Batman-Superman Stunt Show.
  6. Just noticed this: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151746667539564&set=a.10150684900734564.410417.92438924563&type=1&theater Wow. So the "alternative horror theme" is confirmed. Nice. Are these the only two rollercoasters in the world themed specifically to Horror? Or is Saw just the first "Horror-film themed ride"?
  7. Lol.... WE HAVE APPROVAL! Our unwanted, unasked for "biggest Dino park in the world" is APPROVED. Cool! http://www.news.com.au/national-news/queensland/clive-palmer8217s-sunshine-coast-dinosaur-park-plan-approved/story-fnii5v6w-1226684456385
  8. Flashback to 2005: "AVALON airport is being considered as a site for a the first Disney World in Australia. US Disney executives inspected Avalon last month as part of a tour of possible Australian sites. Sources said the group, which was entertained by airport owner Linfox, was impressed with the location and the presence of cut-price airline Jetstar." http://semaphorejunction.blogspot.com.au/2005_09_01_archive.html
  9. Of cause the "Village" brand is Huge in Victoria(it's "spiritual home"), so who knows....a Village Movie Park??? They do have several major film properties of their own you know. The Matrix is one. Mad Max(Lol, originally filmed in Avalon-Lara!). Lego(yep... They're making "Lego: The Movie"). Given that they're making thre film, is it possible that VRTP might actually take the idea to Lego and license the brandname "Legoland"?
  10. Also have to say, a Liberal Party Government is more likely to get this through for us. Labor stuffed both of the past two proposals.
  11. African Safari World is still on the cards and this is mostly the Geelong council fishing for VRTP to continue negotiations, or even redesign the Park in a different location. Or to continue the good idea of "a park on the Princes Freeway". Personally I think an artic themed Sea World would be a good idea, maybe not in Melbourne though. Third time lucky? Perhaps another company might also become interested. Legoland?
  12. I'd guess that 90m is simply that left turn that Saw takes after leaving the dark section and it's turn right back into the station. This one probably will just go straight out into the lift hill judging by the space they've got to work with. And straight back into the station. No turns. As Gazza kinda pointed out earlier(not going to turn into the hillside). Glad I booked January for this, but kinda was hopeful would be closer to the first week or two of it's opening.
  13. Yay, something we agree on. Also I hate it when a singular company has a state rivalry between various parts of their own management and doesn't create one singular national umbrella website for their own "Network" because of it. Pisses me off. Seriously why aren't the "other versions of Today Tonight" allowed their space on the actual official Today Tonight website! The idea of a "National Network" is that all the Sub-companies etc are supposed to Network together and share their resources. Why does Seven Perth have it's own different official website at all? seriously in over 15 years they've never been able to agree Yahoo7.com.au is the "full official network website"?
  14. I'm a little pissed off actually... Why is Channel 7 Perth not connected to the Yahoo7 official website inc the Today Tonight website? Seems as if it's not as much of a "Network" as we thought it was...
  15. I called a friend in Perth that saw it. They apparently gave the estimated opening date(as December). But otherwise it was mostly information we on the site already know. It's a clone of Saw, etc.
  16. They're obviously talking about the coaster, but it sounds to me like they confused 100ft with 100 metres. Saw the ride has a 100ft drop. Today Tonight has a perchance for overstating absolutely everything.
  17. Just saw the "promo", they used the footage from the official POV of Saw:The Ride...
  18. Doesn't matter. Channel Seven posts all their news stories onto their YouTube channel, inc Today Tonight. And looks like Adventure World is also.
  19. Nah... January is Summer 2014, as in "post-New Year". Nice try though. Seriously though, you think the "announcement" coming up will give the date? Or just formally announce what we all know(that it's a Eurofighter)?
  20. Doubt it, Seasonal Park, so I think they'll push for a November Opening, December at the latest. It is after all teased as "Summer 2013" not "2014".
  21. Got the impression that was a pretty late date, it's July and a large section is already built. It'll be open before 2014.. That was their point I guess.
