  1. From the MW Website... Easiest way that my parents used to figure out if I could go to certain events like this was "Would I let my son watch this franchise?". So just say to yourself, would his parents let him watch The Walking Dead / Evil Dead? If yes, and he wouldn't be scarred for life afterwards, let him go. If not, just say it is very graphic and mature; not 12 year old material. In the end, though, it's your parents that should make the decision about whether or not your brother can go.
  2. It was really easy and a little outdated, but fun anyway. I got 10/10 on all
  3. Anyone that went last night, how long were the lines and how busy was the event?
  4. As would be expected, 10 hours til the event and the website has still not been updated. Cutting it fine, Movie World! BTW Those pictures look great! I can't wait to walk up to Hershel's Barn in TWD and to see what unfolds in the Evil Dead. I am really excited now!
  5. Movie World just posted this pic on their Facebook. Looks like Evil Dead will be über gory and following closely to the film!
  6. All of those names sound really generic and un-interesting. Hopefully they choose one that sounds a little bit better....
  7. I agree with you about Jake Thrupp. Personally, I would much rather see the behind the scenes videos done by one of the designers of the event. What I don't agree with you is that there will be six mazes. Firstly, we know that Carnevil is a show because of the videos, dropping the number down to "5".Also, when the mini-site was finally updated, the maze list only went up to four. So it looks like four mazes and two shows.
  8. If anyone is going on Saturday, could you please post a review and maybe some pics?
  9. Reckon we'll get a show like that for the opening instead of the Thriller Dance? Although I'm not too keen on the dub-step breakdown, it does look really promising for this year. I'm excited!
  10. Video doesn't work (uploader not made it available). Does anyone know were each maze would be located? I'm almost definite that Walking Dead is the Soundstage and the Darkness is in Scooby, but where would Evil Dead & Hillbilly 2 go? I know that the Western Stage has been used for more "natural" looking mazes, but there are two this year. Where would you guys like to see Evil Dead & Hillbilly 2?
  11. I agree. Sea World is definitely a more family friendly park than Movie World, so having a child-appropriate event for halloween similar to White Christmas would be a perfect fit. But it don't think that it would be very likely.
  12. I haven't seen the preview at the end of the parade, but how unfriendly for children is it? Are the just showing the ad and then having the Ringmaster and Pigman walk out? Because I know many kids that would be horrified at that. Most kids I know are even scared of going into Scooby
  13. I'm guessing that all of these characters are going to be featured in a massive scare zone in the main hub and the streets
  14. Could be a Motion Sim, Dark Ride, or maybe even just a stunt show replacement.
  15. Just saw the TV ad for Fright Nights this year. I kinda reminded me of last year's HHN advertisement. BTW Can anyone read the text below the VIP Gold logo on the ad? I know it's the maze lineup as I could see the Walking Dead, but there is a lot more than four things. I believe it has been uploaded to the Theme Parks Youtube channel named Fright Night II, but it has been removed by user.
  16. I would love to see another western ride in the park, but my preference for theme would be the amazing collection of Gangster films that Warner Bros has released. Like how Universal is famous for the horror film, WB is famous for their mob films. Currently in the park, all we have is a prop car and a meet 'n' greet. For these film's being the studio's crown jewels, we don't we have anything of substance? The same goes for the westerns, but we already have the best themed flume in Australia, so I'll let it slide
  17. I depends on how much effort they put into the ride. If it's really well themed and executed, then I would agree with April next year. If, however, they rush it and do a half-assed job, then I would expect late this year or early next year.
  18. Why don't we start the discussion about what we think will be in each maze? It seams from the description that the Walking Dead will focus on the previous seasons and not season 4 or 3, while Hillbilly Slasher 2 doesn't seem to be any different.
  19. Hey Everyone! I know we're all sick and tired of Movie World focusing all of their attractions on the DC comics license, so I was wondering what other IP's Movie World could use! Feel free to share your ideas!
  20. Personally, I'm sick of DC. There are so many other intellectual properties they could use for a ride.
  21. The only advertising I've seen for the event has been the VIP Gold advertisements as well as the Behind the Scenes videos showing as an ad on YouTube
  22. It's good to see that we've finally got someone that we can call an icon for this years event (the Ringmaster). My only problem is that next weekend is the first night, and we still haven't seen the mini-site updated with the maze lineup and the show schedule. Movie World's definitely cutting it fine.
  23. Will I was at MW today I tried to look for any progress with the mazes or theming around the park. All I could see was the pathway to the sound-stages having white drapes over the fences, covered with blood stains.
