Coronavirus and theme parks
In terms of scale Ardent Leisure and Village Roadshow theme parks are off course the large portion. But in terms of numbers the other parks are the majority. - Aussie World - Gumbya World - Raging Waters Sydney - Jamberoo Action Park - FunFields - Luna Park Melbroune - Luna Park Sydney - Adventure World - Outback Splash

Coronavirus and theme parks
That’s a mega thread about Corona Virus. I’m making a thread to talk about effects on our parks closing.

Coronavirus and theme parks
So it’s been officially announced the Royal Easter show is canceled. Do we think that some Australian theme parks might be next to close down? Luckily for most off our parks bar VRTP and Ardent most are getting ready to close for their winter period anyway and most likely won’t be effected as much.

Arkham Asylum Maintenance 2020
Well Vikings revenge has been waiting a long time.... But remember a world class attraction will replace Vikings Revenge in 2019! Oh wait..... At least Vortex will open in December 2019.... well Trident will open in April 2020...... oh wait.... maybe Leviathan might meet its deadline?

Hot Wheels Sidewinder Refurbishment
You are most likely seeing either the under coat or the layer of structural X-ray. Keep In mind all rides must now have a full strip back and removal off paint every 10 years now, so we might be seeing that happen now.

Movie World Feb 2020 Update
When you have 2 trains you can still operate the ride while you do re builds on the trains. Do 1 train at a time.

Arkham Asylum Maintenance 2020
So if it doesn’t re open, are you saying it means Movie World doesn’t know how to maintain its rides? Cos if you look at WWF barley any effects were working when I went a month ago.

The New Atlantis - Construction Updates
Same as Sky Voyager building a new ride that they don’t have experience with and is a new ride system to Australia. Shit happens. Goes for both parks if something’s delayed, communicate it with your guests. Simple.
-
The New Atlantis - Construction Updates
But they haven’t announced this or told anyone. So this is just as bad as Sky Voyagers delays. Going silent and not telling anyone.

Rocky Hollow Log Ride officially closed
Nah $20 is way too high.

Rocky Hollow Log Ride officially closed
But they have built Sky Voyager, Fully 6, The chill out zone, Sidewinders getting love now, ABC kids world is getting a re model, this coaster ground works have started. Plus the whole waterpark got repainted and some love. Along with the park looking a lot fresher in parts. Plus there is more supposedly coming. The new management team can only build so much at once. Everything being done is clearly long term plans. We just gotta give them some time. I recon by the end of the year the park is gonna look completely different.

Vortex ride Delayed at SW
Well park could have done a post on Facebook say, “due to circumstances beyond our control Vortex will be delayed till mid 2020, we apologies for any inconveniences caused.” Rather they just have ignored the ride, so people that didn’t know any better would have arrived on a holiday to find the ride not there.
-
Vortex ride Delayed at SW
What’s even better is if you booked flights from the other side of the country to go ride it only to find the ride parts aren’t even on site yet. No communication was publicly announced saying the ride was delayed.

Tower of Terror 2 closing
If one was to look at the tower it’s recently been completely X-Rayed and inspected, you can tell by all the blue marks all over the tower. With regards to the track it’s most likely just gonna be unbolted from the tower itself leaving the mounts along the side of the tower.

AW Nights 2020
So had a great time at the second AW nights the weather was a lot warmer then last week and the park during the day was full with all car parks full. Was fun watching them try and removing 5,000 guests and then letting another 2,000 or so in within half an hour. Was great to watch. The event itself is growing year on year and it just has that nice laid back chilled feeling prefect to have a beer and relax.

Was Storm Coaster worth the money?
But for a 12 million dollar coaster it’s not a bad coaster for the price tag. The main issue was the additional 8 million to remove BT and earth works.

Log Ride Closing for Good?
Would anyone really miss the log ride? Honestly why spend money on that ride? Rip it out and replace it with a better one. Compare WWF to the Log ride? If your gonna spend money to fix the ride up and make it look good again. You may as well spend that money on a new one.

Steel Taipan Construction - Dreamworld Mack launched roller coaster
It’s going to be the browny/orange as shown in the images above that got realised a few weeks ago.
-
Fully6 - WhiteWater World's new slide tower
It’s cos the slides are made by Polin.

The Off Topic Topic
It was built and assembled at the Gerslaur factory not Mack factory. I believe the Blue coaster is Hang Time. Not sure about the other.
