Since I am doing the Ultimate Terror Tour this year, I'm contemplating what mazes will have the secret viewing rooms, I think it will be in one or possibly both the two returning mazes. Thoughts?
-
Agreed, when I went on it last year the restraints were quite painful however, it didn't take away from the experience of the ride and I enjoyed it a lot!
-
Friday the 13th isn't in Soundstage 1 because the other day Movie World posted a snapchat for us to guess what's in the maze, I don't think they would ask us to guess an already released maze. I believe that it will be in Soundstage 2 instead as I think it's the larger than Soundstage 1 and they could really create an outside feel with the space provided.

I hope one of the Gold Coast parks install a 4D freespin one day, those rides look awesome!
-
What are your guys guesses? I hope for it to be an Insidious maze. Furthermore, I think we will have the second maze in the coming days
-
It would be awesome to have a Suicide Squad scare precinct. However, since the movie is not out till August 5th next year, it may be more appropriate to do it next year instead.

Can't wait! Tickets should be on sale by the end of the week and an official announcement should be made by Movie World in the coming days. Who else is going to be doing the Ultimate Terror Tour this year? I for sure will be "horrific scare precincts, panic room experiences... and the biggest offering of interactive scares ever." Will this mean there will be scare zones this year? However, I do recall them stating something similar last year. Also, I wonder what these 'panic room experiences' are...

When will they release information because I'm starting to get impatient now hahaha. Hopefully by the end of this week! *fingers crossed*

The Evil Within for sure! I loved that maze last year and just outdid Evil Dead which is my second favourite .
-
Fear the Walking Dead? Or just the Walking Dead in general
-
I had a feeling it could relate to the purge without making a direct connection to it... Who knows really...
-
After close inspection I figured the symbol on the car says United States President... Any ideas?
-
After a recent Google search, I happened to come across this picture from the 2009 remake of Friday The 13th and the set looks very similar to that in the snapchat photo... What do you guys think?
-
That's exactly what I thought! I would love to see a Purge themed scare zone, better than having zombies in my opinion.
-
It could just happen to be a made-up maze but who knows really. At first I thought it could be My Bloody Valentine but that's just a guess.
-
As it nears the end of August, we should be receiving information any day now... Can't wait! Anybody notice any changes around the park recently? More specifically the maze in the arcade centre.
-
Any news on the construction of the maze inside the arcade centre?
-
Maybe their not using the second half of they Scooby-Doo queue line this year? Just a thought.
-
How could I forget, I would love to see an American Horror Story maze. I think Asylum would be the hot pick as it's gorey and scary however, it would be awesome if they were to combine all four seasons into one and at the end of the maze you walk into the hotel. Just a new and cool idea

I hope to see five mazes instead of four mazes this year and would personally love to see an Insidious Chapter 3 maze. From what the trailer has offered, it would be quite a scary maze, if not terrifying. It would surely draw in the crowds, much like Wolf Creek 2 last year. Another preference of mine is The Gallows. In the U.S they have a Scare Test based around the movie where you try to escape the school from Charlie and it looks quite fitting for a maze here. As for the other two (or three) mazes, I'm not sure on what I'd like to see besides them to be terrifying!

Went to Fright Nights last night (third time this year) and was the best night out of the three times I attended this year. I could tell the actors were giving it their all in the mazes and on main street. We arrived at the park at 5:40 and managed to get a decent spot for the crowd going to the soundstage mazes. The scare actors walked right between me and my friend and managed to give me the odd fright. Then the cage came past us, this was the first time I took the time to admire what was inside it and to be honest, I wish I never did. I felt a feeling of disgust when seeing the guy rolling around in whatever that concoction was, in my opinion. Anyway, on to the maze reviews: Wolf Creek 2: We started the night of with this maze and got the first group to go in, was awesome. Great scares and theming, which I took the time to admire the second time around. All in all, this was an excellent maze and comes in as my second favourite maze this year. I'd give it a 9/10. The Evil Within: This was the second maze of the night and was awesome, as per usual. Fantastic scares and great hideaways which I realised this time, and also fantastic theming. We did this maze two times later during the night and I'm pretty sure we were the last, or one of the very last groups to go in for the night as we walked straight in at 11. It was just my friend and I until we caught up to the group in front of us just after the chainsaw scene. All the zombies chased us all the way to the end and I was running and screaming, along with the group in front of us. All in all, this was a fantastic maze and comes in as my favourite maze this year. I'd give it a 10/10. Cannibal Clowns: The first time we went to go in to the maze, we were at the end of the last switchback when the fire alarm went off. We left and came back 10 minutes later and it had re-opened so we lined up again and thankfully the fire alarm did not go off. Awesome scares and I actually like the basic theming, it fits in perfectly with the clown theme, but not really cannibal unless the splashes of neon paint replicate blood, I'm not sure. We came back and did this maze just after 10 and it was just us and this couple. The clowns were following us, disappearing and reappearing and being down right, sh*t scary. One of the clowns had shoes that had like fallen apart and me clacking noised when he walked, he was one of them that was following us and it was so scary not knowing where he was but hearing the clacking of his shoes getting closer and closer. All in all, this was an awesome, fun maze and comes in as my third favourite maze this year. I'd give it a 8.5/10. The Ripper: This maze was awesome. Props to the Ripper who made the experience that bit more awesome. Great scares and theming, and also effects. The water sprayer got me two times in the back, and one time right in the middle of my face. I noticed Ultimate Terror Tour people behind the fake wall and gave them a friendly wave. We also did the maze right after the second Cannibal Clowns and went in by ourselves and we were practically running through because we were getting chased. I never noticed the actors who were on the roof, top of the walls who reached done at you, great scare. All in all, this was a great maze and comes in tied as my third favourite maze along with Cannibal Clowns and though were both to great. I'd give it a 8.5/10. Overall, last night was a fantastic night and cannot wait till next year. My friend and I were discussing what mazes we would like to see next year or what they will be and we both thought maybe, Insidious: Chapter 3 or possibly Annabelle. Who knows, we will have to wait till next year to find out.

Hi guys, I attended Fright Night last night and it was my third year attending the event. I must say that this is year is probably my favourite of them all. We arrived at the park at 4:40 and waited around the fountain area for rope drop. At approximately 5:40 they dropped the rope and everyone moved up to the next rope just before the undercover shade under the Superman Escape launch track. Just after 6:00 they dropped the rope and the woman advised everyone not to run but most people piss bolted, some disembarking off to Superman Escape and others to Arkham Asylum. We were heading straight to the Sound stage mazes. The gates at the beginning of Zombie Alley were still closed and we waited there for about 5 minutes. Once they opened were all told not to pass the staff member so everyone was speed walking, trying to get to the front of everyone. Once we got to the end of Zombie Alley, everyone ran to their desired maze, for us Wolf Creek 2. These are my reviews on the mazes: Wolf Creek 2 maze: We were the third group to go in for the night, waited about 5 minutes and was an awesome maze. The scares were great and the theming was excellent. However it seemed to be missing something. We came back at the end of the night to go on it for a second time and it was still great. All in all, this was an awesome maze and I'd give it an 8/10. The Evil Within maze: We waited about 30 minutes for this maze and was well worth the wait. This was by far my favourite maze of the night and probably ever that I've been in at Fright Nights. The scares were terrifying and the theming was excellent it was just amazing. My two favourite scares were definitely the The Butcher with the Chainsaw and Re-Bone Laura. We also came back at the end of the night to go on it for a second time and it was still amazing. All in all, this was an amazing maze and I'd give it a 10/10. Cannibal Clowns maze: We waited about 20 to 30 minutes for this maze and was worth the wait. I do not get scared by clowns but this maze shook me up a little bit. The scares were very good and although the theming was basic with neon paint and strobe light, it was still good theming. We came back to do this maze again and wasn't too scary the second time. All in all, this was a great maze and I'd give it a 8/10. The Ripper maze: We waited about 30-40 minutes for this maze and wasn't worth the wait. This maze had good theming but very little to no scares at all. We did not come back to do this maze again. All in all, this was a disappointing maze and I'd give it a 3/10. We didn't go on any rides as we wanted to complete all the mazes. Some improvements which I would recommend is to add more water to the blood bags, I had one and it was way to sweet. Also, clearer signage for Scooby Doo and Cannibal Clowns queue lines as they have been swapped around this year. This year has definitely impressed me the most and I can't wait to go again. To those questioning if they should go or not, I'd strongly recommend you do because it was so much fun

Have been reading reviews of tonight's event on the Movie World Facebook page and most of them say that they were disappointed by the maze lines which ranged from 1.5 to 2 hours. Hope it's not like this tomorrow night!
