^cool story, I don't even put up Christmas decorations till the start of December.
-
I was at Dreamworld today and there is a significant amount of refurbishment happening around the exit doors of the park. The refurbishment of central cafe is looking good. Finally they've done a ton of stuff to Cyclone over the annual maintenance period. No longer does the train stop 10 times in the station, It now moves slowly through to the end with only one stop. They seem to have tightened the wheel assembly as well because the ride was noticeable smoother than it was in the September holidays. Also, last night pass holders were sent a promo about $2 coffee at Green Bean. Apparently the staff at the shop, general enquiries and the pass centre had no idea about it.
-
When I went last year (20th Dec) everything was 15 mins max for the main rides. The kids rides had queues 30min+
-
TOT2 requires a half load and Wipeout needs 10 people. These restrictions are simply operational as testing occurs with empty carriages anyway.
-
As a side note, if Cyclone get's stuck it'll do so on the first inversion and roll back to where the catwalk next to the Little Rippers tower is.

I know I'm late to the party, but in regards to staff chatting It's common to see the front person and the exit guy talking on the phone permanently after the parade on off peak weekdays and weekends. -
My post was posted about 2 seconds after Reanimated's and said about the same thing so it was pretty pointless. So I snipped it. Oh and in case you didn't know on boards when you can't delete your posts and you want to you edit it to -snip-

They want you to walk past the shops through the red area.

Wet N Wild do it in the September holidays, the whole of December and January as well as the April holidays for certain. They may have it available on busy weekends leading up to the high season. Never used it myself so I have no idea about cost.

The Ultimate Terror Tour (Fright Nights 2014)

So how was the night downunder? -
Woah, operations have slowed a ton since last year. The blue dash was where evil dead was for the majority of the night last year, I got on it when it was a tad shorter and waited 30 mins so i'd say it would have been 40 from that point. Walking Dead was usually around the read dash during the night I attended last year and that was an hour. Hillbilly was queued all the way to the sausage tent place and that was 45 mins. Also this year from the sounds of it they've sold too many fast track passes . Last year there were 3 - 5 people per load who were in fast track.

The status of Theme Parks in Australia

Aussie World doesn't have a drop tower. -
TV is actually pretty good if you have 2 in a raft. It just sucks with only one though. Yesterday when I went you could walk on everything except the Hydrocoaster, Green Room and Triple Vortex which you had to wait about 10 mins for.
-
Last year on the day I waited 1hr or Walking Dead, 30 mins for Evil Dead, 30 mins for Darkness and 45 mins for Hillbilly.

Any ride with compression fins stops harder than GL at MW, take Road Runner or Scooby as an example. The majority of GL's brakes are magnetic, the friction brakes are only for the station blocks, and the two blocks mid track. It's only a hard stop when they're running all 6 cars and they stop you right at the start of the brake run when you're in the back train.

I was at dreamworld on the day after ekka show holiday (Tuesday) and the attendant was running double cycles all day. The thing was essentially walk on for the whole day. -
So you're implying Arkham has 20 min cycles?????? Cycles are usually every 6 - 10 mins depending on how much the ops are on the ball.
-
I found Evil Dead to be pretty disappointing last year and was the worst excluding darkness in my opinion. Saw and Walking Dead have to be my favourites.
-
Dreamworld only has 1 train on Track at the motocoaster as well. Their second train has been off site since August.
-
From my experience Arkham is not that goods for single rider considering that there is usually a large amount of singles in the queue meaning you only usually skip 1 cycle or so.
-
Just wondering what are the lines usually like during Screamworld?
-
Yes there was.
